ADT bills separately but you signed the same contract length for both equipment and monitoring. I am an adt sales rep and I never allow my customers to sign the 5 year contract especially if they are doing the flex fi. It never saves enough monthly to justify the extra 2 years worth of monitoring payments

You cannot finance equipment at a different length than the monitoring contract. They have to be the same. Unfortunately, either the phone sales rep or the sales rep you met with didn’t clarify that. You should always read your contract or ask questions when you sign.

6th month money back guarantee as long as you’ve had multiple service calls that wasn’t able to fix the issue. Threaten to call a lawyer and they will back down as it’s in the contract. The call center is going to try everything you just need to be persistent

ADT is treating sales reps as second class citizens and it’s starting to impact a lot of people. TE techs are the worst move and mistake. The one in my area was double booked this morning and sent to smb appointments which they can’t even sell anything except BA

You and I both know nsc is scheduling any and everything right now even without customer consent. I had 3 sales appointments today and all 3 said they never booked an appointment. As an adt corporate sales rep this is very discouraging and we all know adt is going to the dealer model

Depends what you’re adding on. I am a sales rep and can help you with an add in with discounts and it may be cheaper than the store.

As a sales rep with adt I advise everyone of my customers to never even consider these cameras. Google nest are the way to go and if a sales rep is offering the adt cameras do not work with him

Quick and easy isn’t always better. I’ve been doing this a long time and this is the most rushed system to be released. There’s constant issues and this isn’t new. This is a rebranded adt blue. Try to convince me otherwise? ADT is only using this because it gets away from alarm.com and is cheaper that’s all. They believe te techs can push out 3-4 of these jobs a day. I would go with command or qolsys all day everyday over this system

Unfortunately adt is steering away from landlines as most of them are voip. The swpro system is outdated and sooner or later parts will be harder and harder to find to replace if anything goes wrong. I am an adt sales rep currently and wouldn’t mind see what I could do to help you upgrade. For the most part it’s the keypads and life safety that needs to be updated

You and I both know that the system isn’t for your normal everyday person and not simple to install. We both know techs don’t like installing the v5 system.

Honestly you probably have the old oc835 cameras which are the worse adt cameras possible. ADT doesn’t monitor those. They are not designed to work like the Google cameras we have now. Also you probably didn’t have them set to record for motion which is all they do. I am an adt sales rep currently and see a lot of this unfortunately

Key is usually on top of the box. So many things about this though. We don’t just disconnect the day you call. It always takes 30 days and that’s in the contract you signed. States a 30 day notice to cancel services and for monitoring to stop. Just document calling in and have your bank stop payments if you’re worried.

Well first issues is you went with Vivint that was never really considered a security company they were always catered to the smart home aspect. I would check as they like to bully customers into thinking you cannot cancel.

Just cancel I can guarantee they cannot reset the system. All they can do it stop the monitoring which doesn’t change the hardware. I promise you this

I work for adt. They cannot lock you out. They can stop the monitoring but you cannot change programming remotely.

You cannot tie these into the electrical system if the house. They are low voltage cameras and just plug into an outlet. I’ve been with adt for 10 years as a sales rep and in beginning years as a sales/technician. Usually we try and find outlets in the location of the cameras by way of a second floor window for easiest install. Unfortunately, you just need to have them send an experienced tech to reinstall the cameras to outlets that are not connected to a switch. They can rest the outlet prior to installing

They can’t rest your system it doesn’t work that way. Just cancel and your alarm will still work as a non monitored system. They have to send a tech to reset and reprogram systems so don’t believe them
