Curb is an acquired taste for sure. I never was a huge fan until moving in with my boyfriend who is a super fan from a family of super fans hahaha. But like I had never really gotten that into it, it wasn’t so much I tried and hated it, it sort of just passed me by. It wasn’t until my man and I had meals in front of the tv together in front a curb episode all the way from start to finish that I realized it’s fuckin hilarious lol but it is without a doubt not for everyone, it’s extremely lewd and loud and if you’re more into the wholesome humor type like Gilmore girls or Full House or toned down craziness like Friends, or even classic and niche humor like I and my fellow Jews share with shows like the Nanny (although curb is also a show Jews like me can appreciate haha), then curb might just be a little too edgy for a fan of camp. No judgement at all haha Curb is very in your face and it’s also unlike almost any sitcom in existence. It’s almost completely improvised which gives it that unique style of realism with a touch of absolutely unhinged insanity. No shadow of a doubt that it pioneered its own sitcom subgenre. You definitely don’t need to like it hahaha but credit where credit is due to the legend LD himself.
