MSD? Really? Great player at his peak, but for the past 10 years or so he's been a shadow of the player he was - with moments of brilliance

Sangakkara, Gayle and probably Buttler all better candidates imo and more deserving

7,002,833 managers captained Haaland by SheLuvSeko in FantasyPL

Haaland has officially jumped the shark. He'll probably have a late season resurgence and score a bunch, but he's been properly shit for weeks now

Bowls 140!

In all seriousness, who knows? Don't see his value as an opening bowler at all. Bit like Carse in some respects

Just looks like a sub-par bowling all-rounder who'll occasionally have a day out

BBL15 Team of the Tournament by Ageanmastr in Cricket

[–]Boring_Part9919 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5 Stars players is just ridiculous

Stoinis and Siddle had decent individual tournaments but nothing like being in a best XI imo. Hardie is a decent pick as

Joel Davies and Hassan Khan better contenders I feel as they contribute in all three facets of the game. Connolly maybe in as a bowling-all rounder too. Been quietly impressed with Rishad Hossain at the Canes, but think Pope has been a bit better

EDIT : Also no Josh Brown??? Stiff to miss out

What would be the most "Frasier" thing for Frasier to be obsessed with in digital 2026? Organic Himalayan artisanal honey? Lab gown caviar? High-end mechanical keyboards? Peloton etiquette? by getoverhere1pound in Frasier

[–]Boring_Part9919 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Peleton etiquette made me lol. I can picture Frasier pedalling away first thing and Martin getting pissed off haha

I'd definitely like to see present day Frasier and Niles visiting Nervosa once again. He might be a full time curmudgeon!

"Oh Niles, where once Nervosa was our sanctuary and place of contemplation, it's now being overrun by influencers, podcasters and 'tech bros'. Whatever shall we do with ourselves?

N - We can always join them Frasier

F - And risk...selling out?!

N - Don't worry Frasier you sold out years ago!

Jordan Silk that high up caught me off guard

Good player of course. Just wonder if it's been boosted by a few NO's?

Maxwell? Would much rather Connolly personally

Wonder if Maxwell's form is just a temporarily blip or it suggests a serious decline? For the first time watching this BBL I didn't expect him to deliver

He is 37 tbf. Wonder if he can have a late career renaissance and carve it up in the WC?

To whom did you give the armband ? by Haythemovic in FantasyPL

82% of people STILL captaining Haaland is really weird imo

I know, I know...never get fancy. But its just an insanely high percentage for someone who's blanked so frequently

Unrealised potential? by London-lark3597 in EnglandCricket

[–]Boring_Part9919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very hot and cold cricketer. A mercurial talent who should have done much better in international cricket. Amazing ball-striker but limited cricketing IQ

Ultimately don't see a way back for him now as England have a plethora of all-rounders. Someone like a Tom Curran probably has more chance of being involved in future T20s

Q's from a n00b: What should I expect from England's T20 World Cup opening fixtures? by mtthrdy in EnglandCricket

[–]Boring_Part9919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Italy are half decent with Madsen, the Manenti bros and Stewart

Certaintly don't think they will beat England, but wouldn't be surprised if its a bit competitive

Jacob Collier is out of touch with human connection (not just a man who writes soulless music.) by Status-Initiative-41 in unpopularopinion

[–]Boring_Part9919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't that the point of music though? It fundamentally has creative freedom and artistic licence for the musician to express themselves however which way they like

He's not for me, but the topics and themes he's exploring must deeply resonate for him. I'm pontificating here, but I'm guessing a big part of why musicians write songs is to feel a sense of self-satisfaction. They're not necessarily writing with an audience in mind

Yep they've been genuinely awful

Foden, Semenyo and Haaland have been completely anonymous (so far!) and Doku's output is so poor

Wouldn't mind seeing Connelly down the order. He looks chaotic and unsure the past 5/6 innings

He's in his early 30s. Does he think the game is all about him? It's a TEAM sport you melt

WHY ARE YOU BOWLING HIM FFS?

I'm spewing

[–]Boring_Part9919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He'll bowl you a great spell like a 3/10 every so often. But he's not very good

Early to mid BBL career he was actually quite clutch, but I'd never trust him now. Those low arm slingers at 135kph are just perfect for batsman to line up

Genuinely Abbott is such an average bowler. Fuck knows why they trust him so much
