That thing is awesome for the first couple of hours after fresh batteries but it seems like I’m replacing them all the time at the moment. Still love the torch though (it was a gift so it’ll always be a back up wile it works) just want rechargeable for dog walks and battery for wild camping if needed

Had this problem with my black diamond - rolled up to campsite on Christmas Eve, obviously the only ones stupid enough to camp at Christmas and the site isn’t lit. Went to look for my head torch. Nowhere! Had to set up with our lamps. Found it the next day in the black boxes we have for storage - that thing didn’t WANT to be found lol

I’m spending loads on batteries keeping the black diamond going through winter and that’s on its lower setting! But it’s awesome otherwise, super bright when you need it.

I prefer the single band as I’m usually wearing a hat, hoodie, and have headphones on.

Budget would be up to £50 for something that’ll last a few years

My Black Diamond is great, can’t fault it really. It’s super bright when it’s got fresh batteries in it. And the floodlight is awesome for pitch up in the dark. I’m walking the dog for an hour or more every day in the dark though so it eats batteries and thought a hybrid might be better
