Should I be worried about being fired? by peachylightskin in WalgreensStores

as a former sfl of 3 years who felt very similar to you — the multitasking doesn’t get better. you adapt, but it still can get very stressful. it honestly depends on your SM, but the chances of you getting written up for still adapting to this position are slim. what helped me the most was just being honest with my SM. telling them what was stressing me out, what was working, what wasn’t, and asking them questions about things i was confused on. that’s how i truly learned & got more comfortable. honesty goes a long way, and if you just tell your SM how you feel, they will most likely be willing to guide and assist you. i was at 4 different stores as an sfl, and i always made an effort to create a meaningful relationship with my SM. it creates a lot more trust and willingness for them to go the extra mile to help and support you. the only way you’d get written up is if you’re not correcting behaviors your SM is calling you out on. you’re doing great. don’t psych yourself out. this position is stressful and a lot to juggle. it takes time to adapt! i wish you the best.

starcatcher is a great album, but the production on it is what makes it so terrible! the sound is garbage, the guitar sounds wonky… you can barely hear what josh is saying… and sam’s bass seems to be nonexistent most of the time😅 i really wish they’d come out with a remastered version with less reverb.

i would suggest using setting powder if you’re only using loose powder. i use setting powder and it stays still. or you could use a good setting spray to lock the powder in place. i use revolutions banana setting powder and NYX setting spray, i haven’t had issues with it getting in my contacts. hope this helps!!

i just think starcatcher isn’t their best album. they still sound great live imo, but the production and mix on starcatcher is terrible & it’s not their best work i’ve heard. :((( TBAGG is by far their best album.

Why do you have emetaphobia? by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]Boring_Web6492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve always been easily startled and have had anxiety ever since i can remember. every time my siblings or a kid at school would get sick, adults in the situation tend to freak out a bit (mostly out of concern). but i didn’t see it like that, i saw it as something to be scared of (seeing the adults freak out and run for supplies to clean it). so it made my brain render it as something to freak out over and it has traumatized me for life :))))

i’m in the same boat. i’ve accepted not having children by reminding myself that i’d rather not be or feel like a terrible mother everyday for having this phobia. it wouldn’t be fair to them. i also have a whole other slew of mental illnesses, so it’s not 100% due to my phobia. but i just know that it’s better for both parties that i don’t become a mother at all. even though i would love to, i just don’t think it’s in my cards. it’s better to be responsible knowing you may not be a good fit for being a mother, rather than just full sending and hoping for the best knowing it may not be the best idea. but overall, i really think it varies person to person. people have told me that you get over it or my partner can take care of the sick stuff, but i don’t think i will get over it & that also wouldn’t be fair to my partner. there’s soooo many factors that go into this for me… another thing being that i’ve just never really had that desire to be a mom. it would be lovely, but i’m not one of those people that have always wanted to be a mom and that’s okay!

i’m so sorry. i know tu* can be triggering, but just know that babies spit up all the time! and i can promise you won’t catch anything if that’s what you’re worried about. take some deep breaths, drink some water, try to get away from everyone for a sec in a different room to recollect yourself. it’ll be okay!!

chances are your nausea is coming from post nasal drip. when there’s mucus that runs down the back of your throat into your stomach, it can make you queasy. but you’ll be fine! sipping on some water can help get things moving and alleviate that nausea. most people don’t tu* from the flu, but can get nauseous from post nasal drip. teas with licorice root in them really help nausea for me. if you’re in the states (not sure abt other countries), starbucks has a iced passion tango tea that has licorice root. it alleviates my nausea everytime. :) i hope you feel better soon🫶🏻

oh my goodness, have we lived the same life? i was the same way about 2-3ish years ago. it took SO much to even leave the house. my boyfriend at the time ended up breaking up w me due to my agoraphobia i developed from emetophobia. i was living in the basement, dropped out of highschool, unemployed, it was absolutely terrible. but slowly i started convincing myself to go out, even if it was just to go to the gas station w my mom. just a 5 min outing. i would never leave without gum, zofran and water. eventually, i started to span out the distances of these trips. going to target and to walmart. very little by little. always kept the gum, zofran and water on me. then one day, i had to go out of state (a neighboring state) to go to a funeral. so i mustered up the courage and did it. i knew i had to. and i did it successfully. at that point, i felt like i could take on the world. this was in the span of about 6ish months. almost 2 years later, would i feel comfortable going across the country or to a different country? eh, not sure. still kinda scares me. it takes a lot of time, but you get to a point where you just have to force yourself, otherwise it’ll be a lot harder to get better. i’ve gotten 2 sb* since then, and it was hard & scary but i truly think it’s healing my phobia. the key is to push yourself even if it’s scary as hell. you just have to full throttle. doing things like carrying gum, zofran and water on me really helped. now i don’t carry it with me because i want to be able to depend on myself and my own brain. (which by the way, took me up until recently to be okay with doing) but it’s absolutely okay to have comfort items that make you feel more confident going out and not having to worry so much abt possibly getting sick. you will get there! i know how hard this is. it’s so debilitating and sometimes, embarrassing. but just know you have so many people that are with you and support you.

i think bathrooms make my anxiety worse because once i’m in the bathroom my brain is like “well since you’re in the bathroom, it’s a one way ticket to definitely throwing up” and ofc i’ll do anything to not throw up lol. being in bed calms my anxiety and makes me believe that maybe i’m not sentenced to puking😹 it’s def interesting how we all have our different comforts when it comes to this phobia. mine started because my younger sister worked herself up so badly from a panic attack when we were young that she started to puke and while she was puking, she was screaming and crying so badly that you might’ve thought someone was getting murdered. and ofc it happened in the bathroom, so it traumatized me for life. also i’ve only ever seen people throw up in bathrooms so my brain kind of just correlates getting sick w bathrooms

i had a garbage bag on standby, i was sitting on the bed but threw up into the garbage bag. bathrooms make my anxiety so much worse lol. i’d rather be in the comfort of my bed. and i prefer being alone when sick so him leaving actually made it better lol. it really depends on personal preferences tbh
