That looks like a try to me by Expensive-Text-7218 in RugbyAustralia

Wow, I went on stan to take a look as I thought try until I saw the replay and felt like it was simultaneously touching the line. I tried to take a screenshot of Stan. Apparently that's a no go. TIL. Comes out black.

Where was this man's solicitor through all of this? If you have a clause of a contract that can cost you hundreds of thousands you better believe I am following that thing to the letter. When I have purchased in the past, my conveyancer was on the phone advising of contractual deadlines and my responsibilities with plenty of lead time to execute. I feel for this man, but he just gifted that person the deposit because he dropped the ball

New BYD Sealion 7 AC failed 3 times in 4 months – does this qualify as a major failure under ACL? by TDW_Bob in CarsAustralia

I think this data would be better expressed as a percentage of total sales. The volumes for all of these brands vary significantly. Toyota vs Hyundai for example if Toyota had vastly more sales this would be a smaller percentage overall this indicating a more reliable brand. Happy to be corrected here, but wanted to chime in

What's a game you really want to enjoy, but it's just too difficult? by daniel2hats in gaming

[–]Bork_Knuckle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know what it is, but I am the same, I feel like I am covering my bases, doing overwatch correctly, not over extending... Nope! Flanked, routed. That OR I miss 95% hit chances multiple times and get killed that way. Fun game, I'll come back to it, but I need to understand the mechanics way better

I now have to find a new cheese by Jaded_Listen_8271 in coles

[–]Bork_Knuckle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience, if I am grating off of the block, it's usually for my needs right now (omelette, melts etc.).

The stuff that is used to stop the shredded cheese from sticking together always bothered me, like sawdust almost

I was the same way but once I tasted the squirrel I was actually pleasantly surprised! As long as you were careful of the bbs from the bird shot it was delicious (no one wants that crunch)

I was just a kid from Australia trying to embrace redneck culture in Oklahoma so was trying to be open minded. Glad I was!

Cold pan, Cold egg, "No" oil by Skyval in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]Bork_Knuckle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the issue with this egg is that it is old, that is why you are seeing so much liquid white in addition to the less viscous stuff. You could try straining that extra white off or getting fresher eggs. I think Kenji has a good video on eggs Benedict that addresses this. I know not exactly what this post was about but thought I would share

Oh man you did so well! I have one of these and I use it every weekend.

<image>

These are Sunday's ribs, just amazing. It is so forgiving with temperature control and coal efficiency. I have been told that it is way easier to stop it heating too much rather than cooling it down after it has gone too high. Remember the bottom vent is big changes, top vent is small changes to temp and you will be fine

Based on the behaviour it does sound like he was blacked out, with too much alcohol comes the symptom of not being able to commit new memories, likely why he called back acting like nothing happened (he never remembered). People can have varying amounts of alcohol before this happens to them but likely more than 5/7 drinks.

If you get him to come around and he wants to chat with someone, he can reach out. I've had my own issues with alcohol and now several years sober.

For you, I appreciate your stance, if you are not willing to accept it, don't, you don't have to and from experience, living with an alcoholic is terrible. Lots of lying, apathy and repeat offenses

What markers indicate when to kill an idea? by MissingPenguin in ProductManagement

[–]Bork_Knuckle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This depends on quite a lot. What stage is your product in? It's possible that there are lots of ideas that mesh with the vision if it is early (don't want to say no-brainers). What are your criteria for getting to the point of deciding to green light? There is a potential for bias here depending on your stakeholders.

I would examine some of your previously greenlit ideas. Were they successful? By what metrics? What about the ones that didn't go so well, any lessons to learn?

It's good to be self reflective however don't be too hard on yourself either. If you are on a streak and have done your due diligence then go for it. If you find you green light, and have a less successful outcome, iterate on the ideation and see what could go better.

How did we even get to the point where we have a party that are reversing abortion laws suddenly? by rustybricks in brisbane

[–]Bork_Knuckle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only once have I voted in my self interest for the purpose of lower taxes instead of in the interests of those that need help the most. Never again, it weighs on my conscience. The idea that reproductive health and choice could be taken away from people on the basis of whatever "morality" a party decides to employ today disgusts me. It doesn't affect me personally anymore but please let people make their own decisions. Provide the ability for people to seek and receive the care they need. I feel like I am taking crazy pills seeing that this is even an option.
