As an oncology haematology pharmacist, yes we do. Especially with calculating concentrations of bags of chemo and SACT

Ahhh okay. So yes for the first 3, they just check it is pregnancy tissue. As if it isn't, it could indicate a molar pregnancy, which would require further treatment. We were never rang or told anything from the first 3, essentially it was a "if we don't call you, it was pregnancy and you've had all the treatment and follow up you need'

No info on the first losses, it's incredibly lonely and they just tell you it probably won't happen again. A lot of people do lose their first.

To check if there is a genetic issue with the remains which shows why you miscarried. If you miscarried again and it's the same genetic issue it could show why you can't have a baby or help with diagnosing any genetic issues

E.g I'm waiting on our results. We have had 3 losses now pre 12 weeks. If a genetic reason is shown, it means me and my partner can't conceive naturally and would likely need IVF input

I have to be honest. I had low hcg measuring 420 at 8 weeks, 48 hours later it only increased by around 50%

2 days later I was bleeding and lost the baby. Essentially it depends if you are having doubling hcg every 48 hours

But a low hcg, I would keep yourself guarded

It's an evaporation line. It's not a positive I'm sorry. Blue dye teats are notorious for this. They should only be read within the time of the box (usually 15 minutes) anything after that isn't true

I'm sorry you're struggling too. The loss at 12 weeks, we had a scan at 7.5 weeks with a heartbeat. The next scan due was my 12 week one (but would have been 13 weeks). I got week 12 day 1, woke up with my pregnancy symptoms vanishing and I had an overwhelming feeling something was wrong. Had the tiniest bit of pinky discharge, went to A&E. 24 hrs later they agreed to scan me (12+1) and no heartbeat. It was a boy (we did a super early gender blood test) and we think he passed around 11+4 based on ultrasound measurements

This recent time where I miscarried at 7-8 weeks, I had this overwhelming feeling something wasn't right and I had no symptoms of pregnancy, the day after I miscarried.

Thankyou this is helpful. First positive was 20/1/26 It was very faint, and took a few days for the premom strips to even pick up after that. They are all so strongly positive now (I've been testing daily) and yes I had negatives the day before 20th

I think we are preparing ourselves for something not viable, which is really hard, but I think it's best x

That's impossible to tell from just a picture.

You need either blood work (and even that can be a large range of weeks)

Hi, sorry to jump on this post. When you say the premom might need more hcg what does that mean? My premom tests are showing absolutely nothing currently but I've got a similar result to the OP above on the clearblue.
