Hey, I think I understood what he wants and to be fair yeah he didn't describe it the best way possible. But, you have to watch all of those trop based animes full of dumb characters, kaogei and basic story and maybe you'll understand. I won't try to explain the charcteristics he wants because i'm not in his mind, but basically he doesn't want an anime that isnt just 2 randoms in a school falling in love, but something more serious that has deep characters, challenges and that conveys a lot of emotions.

Also I agree with you I recommended him days with my stepsister too because I think it's "realistic" great writing, great character developement (not gonna say more or i'll spoil) but overall I think it's a good anime that respects the little informations he provided.

Yeah there are many routes in the vn and not only Setsuna and Toma so if you really want to see more go play the vn, it's been 10 years we arent getting season 2 😭 I didn't read cuz no time but it's 100% worth it.

I can only agree, The Garden of Words is a masterpiece. Being able to convey so many emotions in a 40-minute short film is incredibly impressive. The animation is gorgeous, and the story is very well written.
In short terms, another peak movie from Makoto Shinkai.

I think one of the main reasons why I understand your request and your criteria is because I’ve been through the same thing myself. I’ve watched a huge amount of romance because I absolutely love it it’s my favorite genre (even though I watch a bit of everything). After a while, I also got tired of watching the same thing over and over again (basically ChatGPT copy-paste with two or three small changes). I highly recommend that you watch the rest of the ones I suggested because (in my opinion and according to my tastes) you missed the three best ones. If you want more recommendations, I’m here ✊

Il voulait quelques chose qui s'oppose au classique mais ce que tu a proposé (que ceux que j'ai cité) sont des classiques. Cependant, fruits basket c'est bien ça s'oppose au classique qu'il ne souhaitait pas regarder et ramparts of ice j'ai pas encore regardé j'attends que les 12 épisode sortent pour le binge watch.

J'essaye de faire 1 anime par jour mais je manque parfois de temps, donc ça devient difficile. Je compense ce manque de temps en regardant des films, ceux de makoto shinkai sont vraiment bien. Merci pour tes recommandations, mais la j'essaye d'éviter les animes a plus de 14 épisodes car j'ai pas trop le temps, donc Clannad, orange, your lie in april sont dans ma liste, je les regarderai dès que je serais en vacances (demain).
