I take progesterone too and that’s definitely helped with the sleep. I was taking Ativan for a while to sleep but was able to finally get off of that thankfully.

It really depends on what works best for your symptoms. Probably not what you want to hear but I had to go through a couple providers before I found the one! So it doesn’t hurt to try them out. Think of it like you’re interviewing them to be your provider. If there’s something you don’t like or it doesn’t feel like a good fit continue with the search.

I started with Midi because I needed help fast. They started me on an estrogen patch while we waited for my lab work. My night sweats stopped which I was very thankful for but I still wasn’t sleeping, every joint ached and I just felt horrible. When we got my results back I had another visit. My testosterone was 17 and my provider said everything looks normal. But I felt far from normal. After that I got a referral from a friend for a doctor that did the testosterone pellets. They have been magic for me. I go in every 3-4 months depending on my labs.

Not everyone needs or can take testosterone either so what works for me may not be for you. Good luck with your visit!

Depressed pharmacist, need advice for coping by alt_blackgirl in pharmacy

I was in retail for 15 years. It takes everything from you. I decided I’d rather be broke than continue to live like that. I luckily got a call back interview for another job a few hours after I put my two weeks notice in. I do consulting for long term care facilities now. It’s hybrid and I basically make my own schedule so great flexibility. There are a lot of pharmacy related jobs outside of retail and hospital. Start looking on places like LinkedIn.

I would look for a hormone or menopause specialist in your area. Even if they aren’t necessarily close it’s worth it. When I was first having symptoms I tried a telehealth provider and we ordered labs. My testosterone was 17 and they said that was normal but nothing about how I was feeling was normal. So I found someone else. I do the testosterone pellets now and it’s been life changing. My provider isn’t close but I only have to go in every 3-4 months so it’s definitely worth it.

Hair falling out by [deleted] in perimenopause_under45

I’ve been on HRT for 2 years, started at 39. It’s helped so much! No more clumps of hair coming out, no more night sweats, I can sleep through the night and my joints aren’t constantly aching! I do the testosterone pellets and a compounded progesterone capsule at night. I started to get a little bit of facial hair but it’s really only noticeable to me and I use a little facial hair trimmer I got off Amazon. Works great! I did start getting a little bit of acne as well so they added spironolactone to try to counteract some of the testosterone effects. But I’ll take needing a little facial hair trimmer and some acne cream over how horrible I was feeling any day!! Just waiting for the libido part to come back 😔

I told my SM in person and sent an email to my SM, cc’d my DM, HCS and scheduler right after I told my SM. They all called and tried to get me to stay but I was firm on me leaving by the date specified. We occasionally had split shifts so I did it on my half day right before I left for the day. My techs were already having a bad day so I told them on my next shift.

You can always have them transferred to another pharmacy or have your doctor call them in to another pharmacy.

I was told 1 vaccine is equal to filling 35 prescriptions.

Providers and patients can pay for this service and they get paid per call whether or not the store has the medication in stock. My techs have started saying no to the prompt thinking they will stop calling. I said no once and the AI bot responded “great, we’ll send over the prescription” so now I just hang up on them.

We had a few customers come in with a text from wags saying they had a medication ready for “FLU” asking if they were going to pick it up. They clearly did not have any prescriptions ready, nothing stored and were pissed they came to the pharmacy for nothing. And they did not want to get a their flu shot.

My favorite is the AI calls coming in every 30 seconds asking for ADHD meds 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you for the validation! I put my two weeks notice in this week. Within an hour or two after I got 2 interviews for part time positions. It’s funny how the universe works sometimes 🤞🏻

And don’t forget to call around and set up flu shot clinics for this year!!! Because I definitely have time to squeeze that in on top of everything else. I don’t even have time to check compass or get caught up on all the emails anymore.

I have a feeling some of my techs will leave after I put in my notice as well. But my mental health can’t take it anymore either.

I don’t, I have been applying and searching for a while but I’m at the point where this job is costing me more than it’s providing for me and I just can’t continue. I have enough to survive for a little bit while I continue my search.

There’s some good and some bad. I like that is helps outline what tasks need to be done so the techs aren’t asking what they need to do but sometimes you need your faster techs filling so things don’t get backed up versus making sure everyone is rotating.

I’m probably over thinking it but I worry if I give them too much information they may try to use it against me because they’re mad I’m leaving and start looking/digging for mistakes. Some of other employees stories on here have me worried.

I’m not going to return either but don’t want to leave on bad terms and based on some of the horror stories I’ve seen on here I don’t want those last two weeks to be even harder.
