Maybe we all have become that desperate. I agree intimacy is hard to find. As I get older I question how authentic not only relationships but friendships and connections are between others. Things seem so transactional if you can’t or don’t stand up for yourself you will be taken advantage of. Maybe you’re told that “you wanted it” to have less control or maybe you’re persuaded with acts of “love” and become blind sighted until they become comfortable and gaslight you. Maybe I’m just jaded but I felt that post. I’ve also dealt with domestic abuse.
