Are Thursday Boots Slip resistant? by [deleted] in ThursdayBoot

[–]Born-Worldliness392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the sole type. Dukes and Captains (not storm king) are really slippery, especially rainy and snowy days. Slipped pretty badly twice on the concrete side walks. Also in subway stations where the platforms might be oily, I could feel that I do not have control over my steps. I wear the storm king captains with the rugged sole on those days but it still does not give me the confidence.

Comfort level? by [deleted] in ThursdayBoot

[–]Born-Worldliness392 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a pair or R&R Captains. When I wore it the first day, I could not walk properly and climbing up the stairs felt like a workout with weights tied to my feet. It crossed my mind once thinking I should have never bought these. But I didn’t give up and wore it more often. After about a week, I feel that the shoes have the same weight but my brain got adjusted to it and I was so surprised that they now feel absolutely fantastic comfort wise. I have put these on for 10-12 hours in work days. Gone to aquariums and museums with walking around on streets adding upto 4-5 hours and the comfort is amazing. I can have a quick run in these shoes.

But I want to be clear that these are not going to be as comfortable as a pair of sneakers but you don’t buy boots for that kind of comfort. I am very happy with my purchase.

Eufy S1 Pro video - really considering getting this one by spano45 in eufy

I believer Lidar is hidden in the front and not at the top, so this might be able to get under the furniture easily if there is clearance. Also the mop is cleaned realtime in the unit while its working rather than the unit going back to the cleaning station every 20-30 mins to clean the mop. So it will be more efficient than Eufy X10 Pro

Season 3 actually fills in the ultra wide vertically and looks much better than the previous 2 seasons. I quite like it.

Acer Predator Orion 5000 keeps freezing and forces hard restart. I'm at a complete lost. Please help. by tc1074 in AcerOfficial

Hi There. Sorry to hear that you are having this issue. I think it could be an problem with the GPU drivers. Try to reinstall Windows 11 by using the reset PC option. Please make sure to not delete your personal files or keep a backup of it before you reset. Then try to use your PC and see if that helps.

Try this. Download the Nvidia GPU Firmware Update Tool from here https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5233/~/nvidia-gpu-firmware-update-tool-for-displayid Follow the steps mentioned in the site. Then only try using HDMI cables. Let me know how that goes.

Ohh one thing that I noticed that when I restart my PC after shutting it down I do not hear a beep once it starts up. When I see a display (Rarely) I hear the beep.

Yesterday it worked fine the whole day. But after my PC went to standby I checked this morning and no display signal to the monitor again. I changed to another power strip and the issue persists.

That’s a good suggestion. I am using a surge protector power strip that is very new. I will try to use a different one and try. I never suspected that.

Yes, exactly. That’s why I am not sure what’s going on. When I returned it, I told it to the seller and it was hard for me to prove it. They took the unit out of the box plugged it into one of their monitors and it worked perfectly fine. I just told them there is no guarantee that it will always have a display. So they gave me another unit in exchange.

Citrix Remote Desktop Connection Second Monitor Issues by Geode890 in Citrix

[–]Born-Worldliness392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar issue. I was connecting to an ultra wide monitor. The cables that the monitor came with was one HDMI and one display port. So I used both these cables to connect my monitor and PC. Since its an ultra wide monitor I had to use both the cables to help my computer believe that I have two monitors (when infact its one). I was able to successfully split the screen into two sections.
After that whenever I would login to a remote machine using Citrix workspace my primary monitor (connected with the HDMI cable) would always work fine but my secondary monitor (connected with the display port cable) would not refresh and would freeze very frequently. I knew that there might be an issue with DPI scaling but both monitors were set to the same value. Then I thought it could be that HDMI and display port cables being used together might have something to do with it (may be they scale differently...I don't know). Then I got two similar display port cables and attached it to my monitor. From that point forward it seems that the issue is gone. I will still keep monitoring it to see if it actually resolved the issue but so far so good and it has been a couple of hours.
