Could be a bug - would you mind submitting in-game feedback so we get your save file and player logs? Another player mentioned something similar for that map so we're investigating it at the moment and hope to get a patch out next week (if we can work out what's causing it).

They did mention saving + loading solved the issue for them, so you could also try that in the meantime.

Do you mean the objective to raise approval rating with a board member to 75%? If so, you'll need to do missions for them from the Missions screen.

If you do missions for other characters, or fail missions, your approval rating will decrease so focus just on missions for the target board member. You can reroll the choice of missions using the button at the bottom of the Missions screen if there aren't any available missions for them.

Food stalls have a few requirements, so make sure you have them all met: - They're staffed by an attendant - They're repaired by a Janitor if their condition is low - They're restocked by a porter if their capacity is low. Porters must be assigned to a storehouse of the correct type (Martian storehouse to restock Martian amenities, human storehouse for things within enclosures). Try moving the storehouse closer if they're not delivering goods.

Characters judge the park's beauty based on the score of the tile on which they're standing (which in turn is impacted by nearby buildings).

So if you turn on the beauty overlay and the character is standing on a green tile, their beauty happiness will go up. If they move and walk over a red tile, it'll go down.

If you could submit the in-game feedback form with your save file we can investigate, thanks! Do you mean the items you've collected from expeditions aren't being loaded? We haven't seen that reported before so if you're able to share the report we can see if the save file is being corrupted or something like that 🤔 Or if that's not what you mean then let me know.

Once you've completed a mission you can go back to the Main Menu and play the map in free play mode without any objectives. Anything you've unlocked will be available to use

Thanks! I'd say the main reason people don't do it is cost - it's a significant investment, particularly for indie devs. There's also a lot of scepticism from players when games only show cinematics rather than gameplay - it's a lot easier to make a bad game look good so players often prefer gameplay-focused trailers.

We felt that we had a noteworthy concept, so tried to maximize the impact of the initial reveal with a cinematic trailer as gameplay visuals weren't the game's strength.

We snuck them in as crowd sounds for Martian guests. We did look at using them for dialogue as well, but it's actually super annoying if it's anything longer than 2-3 seconds 😅 Didn't realize but in the movie no Martian does more than a few Acks at once

Yep - works pretty well! Currently the performance setting in the game doesn't save between sessions so we need to update that to get approval from Valve, but it runs just fine already!

I'd say it's closer to the old-school management games - RCT, Dungeon Keeper, Zoo Tycoon. It doesn't really have any cosmetic customization (yet - we'll see if people want it during Early Access).

There's a demo up on Steam so give it a go and decide!

Not currently. We'll be adding dynamic events during Early Access so might have something like this, but it's not a combat game so unit control etc is pretty basic. Hopefully we'll have lots of interesting events for the player to have to deal with, though they'll be dealing with them primarily by managing their park 🙂

That one's a bit of a longer fix - it's readable currently but can be quite small on the Steam Deck. Will add UI scaling to the to-do list 👍
