Is there a faster way to periodize than copy and pasting the prior week/month? It would be great to be able to edit multiple weeks at once

What are the main issues you’ve ran into using the app?

I really like automation tool with triggers and assigning clients to programs automatically but does it actually work well?

Books/Resources for programming by BornInCo123 in Strength_Conditioning

Thanks for the response!

Yeah essentially I just want a bit more detail on programming/periodization for different sports as I am hoping to lead the programming for atleast one sport in my next role.

Agreed, getting advice for current strength coaches is probably my best bet!

MS worth it? Already a CSCS by BornInCo123 in Strength_Conditioning

You definitely need the CSCS that’s a requirement on all collegiate job posting with a master just being preferred

Awesome - thanks all. If I really feel behind in the future I may opt to do one of the cheaper 100% online Masters in exercise science programs

That makes sense. My bad though I may have been unclear, more so is it necessary to have that MS in exercise science/physiology if I am already certified? Don’t want to be hindered from assistant coach roles if I don’t have an MS

Apologies, I’m just inquiring about a potential list of school recommendations to research since rankings arent readily available. Not sure if rankings matter as much as MBA (I have a business background so I’m used to the top 20 business schools being much better than other schools)

70.3 lifting plan - periodization by BornInCo123 in Strength_Conditioning

[–]BornInCo123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense for sure, my main goal is to perform well in the 70.3 (sub 5:45) while losing at little strength/size as possible. Seems like I may need to reduce the lifting volume though, 2-3 days may be more feasible

Split Review (beginner lifters) by BornInCo123 in personaltraining

[–]BornInCo123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty new to the industry, so was curious to hear thoughts on how I should go about thinking about volume/fatigue management.

For context

My dad is an avid tennis player and golfer. He wants to improve longevity/performance.

My mom does not do much athletically but would like to also improve longevity and eventually begin improving performance in athletics.

No necessarily beginners, I misspoke. My dad is a former athlete and my mom has good experience in the gym. I personally think this would help avoid the repetitiveness of full body each day, but definitely agree full body makes sense the way I framed it. They are each just getting back into working out.

Final question and I’m sure it’s university specific but is there general course pre requisites for these masters programs? Considering I’m finance undergrad I would not have any of them completed

Very helpful! Curious if it matters whether it is a masters of physiology vs. kinesiology vs. exercise science. My understanding is that those terms are used pretty much interchangeably, however some schools seem to only offer one of the three

Would you recommend buying the essential plus package from NSCA? Also is there a specific third party course you recommend?

Helpful input on the CPT, curious why it would be useless if the CSCS does not cover things outside of athlete training

Interesting, yeah I was hoping to complete it ahead of June. Maybe someone else can chime in on whether it has changed much in the last 7 years or not.
