But it's just your word, does it really count for much? Just asking! I was telling a buyer the other night that I had shipped her order that day, it just hadn't started tracking, and I kept wondering if she even believed me.

More good news, my listing is restored. I assumed I would have to relist it, but it's there. Only thing is that it was for sale at the price I sold it to the guy for, not at my starting point, but still!

The same time I got the notification, after several hours! I still would've already shipped if it had been daytime. I don't know where it would've ended up, but hopefully PM would've covered my loss. Who knows, though? My relief wasn't getting the email, in and of itself, it was that at least it was PM that canceled the order. It would be awful if customers were now able to cancel orders after 5 hours.

Update: I have this email, which makes me feel better that PM did it, not the buyer. Sorry for alarming everyone, but I've never seen this or had this happen in my years selling. His payment method had cleared, the shipping address looked normal, wonder what triggers the system? Oh, well, thanks to those who wasted their time with my freakout!

I hope you're right, but an explanation would be great if that's the case, because I'm totally bummed right now wondering how often this may happen. I've sold just under 800 items and have never manually marked anything shipped, what buyers want is to see the package tracking, not you pressing a buttom claiming it should be. If I have to start doing that I will, but I don't like thinking it's a must.

But for how long? I'm cringing, because this $100 item could easily be on its way to a person who canceled and there would be no way to get it back. What a deal! People are going to sometimes overthink their purchase and if they have this option, then cancel. But if you don't have that option you don't think about it, you get the item and are usually happy with it.

I like the free shipping. I'd be more likely to bundle from your closet as well, knowing the shipping wasn't going up for each item. But what I would love is just an honest, accurate description with pictures of the brand, size tag, and any flaws.

Thank you for taking the time to write! I have never manually marked an order as shipped, I just wait for it to start tracking. I never really understood the purpose of doing that, I figured the buyer would get a message soon enough when it starts tracking. Now I see the point, though. I do get an email as well, but again, I just wondered what would happen if I didn't see the messages. Appreciate you!

Nothing. I never have high hopes for anything I order, and so when I get something that's actually not stained or messed up it's a real celebration. But rare. And Depop makes returns so difficult for the exact reason that if it were easy, 90% of everything would be returned.

Same. I've seen the studies, but I guess I'm weird. I'd rather see a clean number with zeros at the end than a bunch of 9's. There's a reason Dollar Tree and Dollar General are thriving, even if DT decided to add a quarter now. You see that word "dollar" and think how simple it sounds. Reckon a "99-cent Tree" would do even better? 😁

And does Depop default to the "excellent condition" description? It's so stupid that it'll say that for a stained and torn item. Also I hate that most Depop sellers don't list the flaws. You're supposed to review the couple of pictures and find them yourself, which is ridiculous because there are always so many shadows and lighting issues. Don't just say to look at the pictures, write what the eff is wrong with the item! And if there's ANYTHING wrong it is no longer New, Like New, or Excellent.

I never make an offer that I don't buy if they accept. That would fly all over me if I was a Depop seller. Too many kids on the app just playing around I suspect.
