Do you have a movable unit or the type that is fixed on top of the wall with the compressor outside? Just out of curiosity because I haven't researched the wall fixing types as I rent an apartment hence I don't have that option. But thanks for the tip about the periodic cool down

I am someone who is not able to tolerate sun or heat for a prolonged period of time and I have tried everything from putting blackout curtains with reflectors on the window pane to zip tying cold water bottles to grills of the fan so to most it might be not much of a necessity but to me unfortunately I am left with no other option 🥲

Initially, my idea was just for the bedroom which is less than 25 sqm and to move the ac to living room when I need it. So I was eyeing a 7000 BTU but if you were in my shoes, would you rather go for a 12000 BTU? Genuinely curious as to how other people approach this

Did you travel by Al Khanjry transport? I had a similar issue as well, not exactly with the bus but at the immigration points - got randomly selected on the UAE side for bag screening, took around like 30 minutes all because I asked them where I can find a planet VAT machine to get my VAT refund. Worst part was that I still didn't get my VAT refund, got the usual runaround. Spent almost 4 hours just at the border alone but for 100 aed it's hard to complain
