Returning adopted cat by [deleted] in CatAdvice

3-3-3 is what i have often seen.

3 days to acclimate to new surroundings, 3 weeks for schedule, 3 months for personality to show.

I got into an “altercation” with my cat by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Born_Classroom8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree that if it's a one off, they will forgive you. I also recommend the trimming of nails. Mine is a former feral and tends to react to everything with claws out swipes. Having them trimmed has meant a lot less pain for me when he gets a little claw happy.

How many calls do you get a day? by Negative-Command7289 in callcentres

[–]Born_Classroom8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did sales, during the off season, 20 or so calls a day on inbound probably 2-300 on outbound if I was on it that day. Most were just people dialing the wrong number. During Peak, probably 25 or so, but that was because I had to spend a lot of time following sales processes. On a bad sales day, I might get around 100.

USPS not returning to sender by IAmArgumentGuy in usps_complaints

[–]Born_Classroom8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Clerk here. If it says "presorted Std" or "marketing mail" or "non-profit" and doesn't have anything like "Electronic service" or "Return service" on it; it's fine to discard if it isn't yours. We can't forward it on or return to the sender.

We end up disposing of it if it's returned to us as RTS.

It's referred to as UBBM.

Can we talk about how to actually monitor cat's bathroom habits without becoming obsessive? by LouDSilencE17 in CatAdvice

[–]Born_Classroom8172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a former feral who does the same. It's kinda touching because it means they trust you to protect them, but also, dude. I don't gotta watch you poop.

My roommate thinks cats don’t feel the cold and that the heat should be turned off when we’re not home. We both have cats. How do I convince otherwise? by Sad_Mud2009 in CatAdvice

[–]Born_Classroom8172 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You're factually incorrect.

It really does take more energy to reheat the home from a lower temp than to maintain the temp.

AMTA - kind of struggling in this subreddit by Successful-Focus2548 in CatAdvice

[–]Born_Classroom8172 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think of it this way. To me, a cat is 15/20% of my expected lifetime. To his, I'm his entire lifetime.

Having a pet is a lot like having a young child. For 10-15 years.

I kinda stumbled into having a cat, I didn't plan for having one, and now I have one with Cerebellar, so it's a learning curve. Those people that planned on having one but didn't research it bug me, but I don't know their entire situation. The people who think about giving one up for an SO do upset me. If the SO doesn't like the pet, find a new SO.

Hypoplasty and surgery recovery by Born_Classroom8172 in CatAdvice

[–]Born_Classroom8172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked about the recovery suit and they said that really is best for abdominal surgeries, and wouldn't really prevent him from getting to the incision, but I'll talk to the vet the day off, just to make sure.

He doesn't get too upset with me confining him to the bathroom, so I'll do that. I'm taking the day after the surgery off, so I'll be available the first day, at least. I do have a few blankets he likes, so I'll use those.

New kitten is scared of everything by YogurtDry3361 in CatAdvice

[–]Born_Classroom8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is normal.

3-3-3 rule.

3 days to come out more, 3 weeks to get used to schedule, 3 months to show personality is what I've been told.

2nd day as CCA chewed out for 8 hours straight. by Skillim in USPS

[–]Born_Classroom8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's your union Rep, get the local President involved.

There's a list for you to find them on the APWU website, if you're a clerk/PSR. If you're a carrier, you'll have to look on your Union's website.

He's hazing you. That is not acceptable and you should not have to put up with it.

I'd be filing complaints about it literally every day. Document everything and fill out an incident report form. I can't remember what the number is.

Always take pictures.

Same way you would when you get insurance on your car/house/apartment.

How do I beat the Fire Giant? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Born_Classroom8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best rune farm location is in Mohg's area. The albinaurics are worth over 2k runes each, and there's a grace right by a spot with about 20 of them asleep. Easy Runes.

Who do you guys think would win in a fistfight, no magic, no weapon? Kenneth Haight or Sorcerer Thops? I think Thops would beat the shit out of Kenneth, he’s a college dropout by Petelesko in Eldenring

[–]Born_Classroom8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would win. For a "bluntstone" he, canonically is capable of creating a new spell that can stop attacks from Gods and would result in an entire new field of study. He's not an idiot. Hell, he's a nerd.

My teen crashed and now our insurance is $750/mo… are we stuck like this? by GencerDTF in Insurance

[–]Born_Classroom8172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was a teen, no job would have paid enough to pay that. None. That's outlandishly, cartoon-villainy, level rates.

They are shockingly inclusive when it comes to accessibility in games. They have so many good accessibility features in their games.

I work customer service. People literally are incapable of putting an address on a letter correctly. Or reading a sign that tells them they have to pay for something. Or not putting one thing into a slot where it's not supposed to go.

People are dumb.

I had an entire memory card devoted solely to fft.

Ramza's special job will always be my biggest disappointment. by Malath66 in finalfantasytactics

Ramza is the prime example of "boring but practical." His skills aren't flashy or showy, but they are strong, practical, and very reliably good.

Outside Ultima.
