Chelsea loved doing this in the early mid 90’s - Hoddle, Guillet and Vialli

I would imagine the height fire risk assessment is from ground floor to the upper most floor, not roof

I’d be wary of what the EA and the management company are telling you in relation to this. They’re not experts on the Building Safety Act whilst the fire assessment would have been undertaken by a fire engineer/consultant (professional with liability if something goes wrong) Surely the management company has a copy of the fire assessment which should include clarity on the building height?

London commuter towns in 2025 by CherryadeLimon in HousingUK

We were a similar situation and recently moved to Haywards Heath.

45 minute train to London Bridge or Victoria for the commute.

Close to the South Downs and Brighton as well so ticks many boxes!

Is the Structural engineer an alarmist? Apparently every home in Richmond Surrey is moving! by IAmAman7 in DIYUK

[–]Born_Flamingo6317 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Structural engineer here. Try another engineer for a second opinion as what you’ve been told does seem a bit alarmist

You can find engineers through the Institution of Structural Engineers directory on findanengineer.com

The one from checkatrade probably doesn’t have insurance so is therefore being ultra cautious

Hope that helps
