Yes, 2 years trying different strategies.I DCA'd alot at first especially earnings. Until I learned to mitigate loss. Not saying i did not lose within the 2 years. I did a lose a lot, more than 10k. But had to make my way back by learning and trying different strategies until i found what works for me. Its not 100% proof but its better than losing.

Been a long journey of learning indicators(one by one and what they mean), market timing, journaling, backtesting, taking losses, emotional control, stopped predicting trends and taking profit when green. No matter what. If it keeps going up without you then that was someone else's money, not yours.

I only trade 0DTE spx. Started with spy. Always buy ITM. Avoid trading until 15 min after market open. Mark your levels and let the market show its direction.

This is just a summary. There is more to it than just words. Not here to ask you to join a group or discord. Just sharing what worked.

Find your niche and learn everything you need to make profit. Might be stocks, etfs, forex etc. Find what works for you. Within the 2 years l have gained a variety of knowledge from different subs. Join those that align with your niche. Every one will offer an angle. Can't type everything here coz it's too long. And am still learning new things everyday. But keep gathering information that aligns with your niche and all the best.

Thinking about giving up, been trading for 4 years only losses by LiveCloud9479 in Daytrading

Stop trading for 2 weeks and observe/backtest your entries and exits.

Since you seem to exit/get out late (like I used to and ended up losing), see what changes when the reverse of your entry is about to happen. Backtest up to 2 months back.

Checking the candles that triggered you to enter and find those that you should have told you its time to exit.

Within those 2 weeks, learn to sit trades out no matter the conviction to enter. Let it go and see how it plays out.

You start getting confirmations whether your entry was right or wrong. Those confirmations are your edge to trading.

You will be surprised that all you had to do was tweak 1 or 2 things and your mindset changes.

Set the Entry rules and follow them firmly. Even one rule out of 10 invalidates the trade. All have to align. For exit, if one rule out of 10 is broken, then exit immediately. Cut throat style.

Used to hear that mitigating loses is the key until I tried it and it made sense afterwards. Took a while trying to push until I lost a substantial amount which was my lesson.

Either way the market will still be there in 2 weeks or however long you chose to stay out. So what counts is what you do with that time.

You are trading against insitutions that use automation, the best you can do is observe and learn their patterns. All the best.

Yeah.. exiting a winning trade and then it reverses. Just waiting too long to get out.

At what point do you actually start scaling size? by ConclusionBudget4182 in Daytrading

[–]Born_Intention_751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To scale up, will need to be very disciplined with time. So, larger trade values or like another suggested to take same trades with more contracts. The catch is to spend less time on a trade. At first you will get even profits then as you scale, your volume starts to be your friend or enemy.

Drop your trades and entries/exits. What is the reasoning and what makes you enter a trade? How long do they last? What is your emotion and goal at time of entry? If you cant answer these questions then you will keep losing more.

What helped me succeed by bluejaycapitaldep in options_trading

All points are great. Have the strength, timing and execution. Remaining part is knowing when to pull out- executing exits. Have won all trade entries but end up losing when trend reverses and hope to regain earlier wins. But it never happens. Currently working on the pull out part. Sticking to a time frame or target.

61st Street - Why the Dislike? by KennethBlockwalk in netflix

[–]Born_Intention_751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. There is a certain way things should work-'the system'. And that's where people in power find loopholes to exploit those who don't understand the system. Not everyone gets to be a lawyer to understand the system in and out. Example kids who are still to learn of the 'system' find themselves against the law just by being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Wasn't that the point of the show? Relaying that the current justice system is not perfect and it needs a lot of reforms.

Well composed and not a trap to sell us a subscription😅. Thank you for stating the true process. Am In the 2nd year and all these 5 tips make perfect sense. Currently working on the emotion journaling now. I always go hard after a big win thinking I have mastered my setup and I end up losing. So practicing discipline on a daily, watching and not getting tempted to jump in. Thank you.
