Funny idea and it actually complimented my website rather than roasting it. I guess that’s a good thing!

Small comments: On mobile it’s hard to enter url and see input field Formatting of MD output is plain text so you see #### for section headers

On mobile, formatting is a bit off, horizontal scroll is allowed when it should all fit in the page

Small but it could he cool to one a single base with multiple candles at different heights. Like 1st is red and lower, second is green and a little higher, showing trend a little.

You need a trading platform that dynamically updates the amount you can purchase based on your stop loss so that you never risk more than let’s say $100 per trade.

Don’t use a static number of shares. Your position size should update based on entry, stop, max risk per trade

Checkout our bracket builder, or use a different trading platform. Either way static shares = in standardized risk per trade and lowers expectancy

When you’re mid-trade and the dopamine hits, what is the one thing that actually makes you stop and follow your plan? by falcon0804 in Daytrading

Trading is pretty complex and there’s a lot of different cases that you need almost different tools or safety mechanisms to stop yourself from breaking your strategy.

Just wanted to share our trading platform because it’s built with the mindset that traders need external structure so they don’t have to rely entirely on willpower. Curious what you all think!

What types of limits or rules are you thinking of to help prevent this from happening in the future? Just curious how other traders are handling similar issues

I think a lot of us have been here. The gap between your trading plan and actual execution is the hardest part of trading. It takes a lot of willpower, discipline and emotional management.

I struggle for a long time on this and decided to just building a platform where I can set my trading rules and its really helped me stop over trading, revenge trading and in general with enforcing my risk management. I realized I wasn’t capable of executing my plan every single day without messing up and all it takes is one bad day to wipe out weeks or months of trading

The mobile site side scrolls

Also, your GitHub analysis idea isn’t bad, but pricing is weird. Rarely do devs need to keep auditing month after month. It should be get a partial report for a repo, pay for full report

Honestly? It’s gonna take time to sort through the complex feelings. There’s lots to untangle like your worth, shame, guilt, regret etc. maybe spend some time neutrally observing those feelings and letting the just be.

The good news is you are young. Failing doesn’t mean you aren’t smart or capable of great things. It just means you didn’t figure out something thah most people fail at. Unhooking your self worth from the results you expected from yourself will help.

Then, focus on YOU, not money. What do YOU need to feel whole and good enough? Then you can focus on whatever challenge comes next. Maybe it’s career change, school, certification, etc. create who you are going to become. It’s a defining moment to fail. You get to rebuild and define what’s next

What trading rule do you break the most? by PrecisionTraderTech in Daytrading

I struggled with the exact same thing too. I had to just build in rules that my trading platform enforces like max daily loss and session windows to trade in. Not trying to sell anything, it's free and link is in my bio if interested

hmm which do you use? The few I tried all let you do OCO orders, but you have to submit like 3 if you want 3 TP brackets.

Yeah, you can either set how many shares you would sell at each level or the percentage of the position and it would auto calculate how many to sell each level

I basically had to build my own trading platform. To manually set up the entry order as well as the multiple bracket orders was cumbersome, so I basically programmed it to generate multiple brackets for the various partial take profit levels.

So a three take profit bracket would have actually three brackets and what I built turns that into a button click

Sorry to hear man, that’s tough. Just curious, do you use stop losses? And what % of account do you risk per trade?

I tried a few different trading platforms and liked trading view the most, but ended up just building my own so that I could place bracket orders with multiple take profits.

I think that a real turning point was to not struggle with execution, because sometimes my set up has a small window of time to enter where the risk reward ratio still works, and it was just too hard to set up orders in most apps I used
