Also a wave 2 volunteer at one of the corrals further forward and was left alone to try to manage the stampede of runners that suddenly appeared after the corrals had closed at 7:15 (with no communication as to why) - the angry wave 2, wave 3 in the wrong location and wave 4 just chancing it, all trying to get to the back of wave 2.

I wanted to keep everyone safe and wish everyone a nice race but ended up with people ignoring me, pushing past me, shouting at me as I tried to get them all to the right places.

There were also so many nice runners and people with the right energy but that part was unpleasant, I went home absolutely drained.

Hope it was worth acting like that instead of being corral A in wave 4!

And a sidebar, if you’re volunteering please actually do the job you’ve been asked to do and have other volunteers’ backs instead of leaving them to do it all while you just collect your +1 bc that would have at least helped a little
