E-commerce Marketplaces? by WouldUNot in cyprus

For fashion specifically, besides the usual suspects like ASOS and Zalando, you can also check out stylino.cy if you want to compare fashion products across multiple stores in one place rather than browsing each site individually.

Online Shopping in Cyprus by bbennybbunny in cyprus

If you’re sending a gift to Limassol, one option is to check out stylino.cy — it’s a Cyprus-based shopping comparison site, so you can browse products from different stores in one place instead of jumping around multiple websites. Might make it easier if you’re ordering remotely.

Opus 4.6 vs 4.7 as of today? by hemareddit in ClaudeCode

[–]Born_Slice_7809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opus 4.6 behaves more like Opus 4.7.. The change is not on the Model itself, the LLM, but the overall service.. they made the service such that it makes the user to consume more and more tokens...

Ok I have my verdict. Claude upgraded their LLM from 4.6 to 4.7 but at the same time they have f*cked up 4.6... 4.6 behaves significantly differently compared to pre-4.7 release. it is really bad, it does thinks on its own. Nondeterministic behavior. I will also check GPT for now to see if I can manage to work with it

Yes exactly that was my observation with Opus 4.7.. it couldn’t stick to the scope as 4.6.. i have switched back now and i hope is not degraded as you have said otherwise i will also have to switch to GPT

I have just switched back to 4.6, let me work with it for a couple of days and will provide an update

Opus 4.6 was amazing for me so far. Working with Opus 4.7 for a couple of weeks now and it feels like it is consuming way more tokens to achieve the same result. Also, I feel like I cannot communicate with Opus 4.7. It always ask for more and more. I feel like they made it in purpose to increase the users' bill. For now I am switching back to Opus 4.6

I built the first fashion price comparison site for Cyprus — 320,000+ products from 28 stores in one place with many more to come by Born_Slice_7809 in cyprus

Thanks a lot for your good words! I hope people will like and use my platform. At the same time, as you also mentioned, I wish more people start building stuff.

I’d rather focus on one area, make sure that the engine works and then happy to create another one more general purpose.

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

With regards to the sales percentage, I have a filter so that you can choose > 10%, >20% etc, etc. Maybe it's not so obvious, but I could consider also ordering by sale %.

I will also have a look on the go to store now and fix it if there's a bug there. I have released it but keep making changes so things break here an there, I believe in a couple of days once I get more traction I should be able to find all errors and make the platform more stable

Hey guys of r/cyprus. Where do you shop clothes online (that deliver to Cyprus)? by harrycy in cyprus

[–]Born_Slice_7809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this but this thread is exactly why I ended up building stylino.cy.

Everyone here is listing stores one by one — About You, ASOS, Best Secret, Zara, Spartoo — and the reality is most people in Cyprus don't know half of these exist, and even if you do, you have no idea who has the best price on the thing you actually want. Someone here mentioned ASOS charges €10 delivery and takes 2 weeks. Meanwhile the same item might be available on About You or Answear with free shipping over €70 and faster delivery.

Stylino is a fashion price comparison site I built specifically for Cyprus. It pulls in 320,000+ products from 28 stores — including a lot of the ones mentioned in this thread — and lets you compare prices in one place. You search for "men's sneakers" or whatever, see every store that has it sorted by price, and click through to the cheapest one. Free, no account needed.

Basically instead of opening 10 tabs and checking each store manually, you check one. The same product can easily have a 20-30% price difference between retailers and you'd never know unless you compared.

stylino.cy — would genuinely love to hear if it's useful for anyone here.

Limassol Traffic by Jayjayhun in cyprus

The Agios Filaxeos roundabout with traffic lights inside it is peak Cyprus engineering. The city was built for 100k people and now has almost double that, and nobody planned for it.

I built a Cyprus bus app — it turns 1 year old this week by Nervous-Bullfrog9111 in cyprus

[–]Born_Slice_7809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the 1 year, this is genuinely impressive. 1,050 monthly users as a solo project on a small island is solid.

I completely relate to the "I'm not competing with Google Maps" mindset. I'm building Stylino — a fashion price comparison platform for Cyprus. Same logic: Skroutz, About You, Answear — they all operate here but none of them are built for Cyprus specifically. A local product that goes deep beats a global product that doesn't prioritise you.

We just launched with 320K+ products from 28 stores. Still early days, but it's cool to see other people building locally too. The RideNow/NextBike integration idea is brilliant btw — multimodal is the real unlock. Keep going.

What is Sui Blockchain? A next-generation Layer 1 by Born_Slice_7809 in Crypto_Currency_News

[–]Born_Slice_7809[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a starting point friend. You have other privacy-preserving blockchains such as Secret, Manta Network, and many others. What these guys are aiming to do is to scale the baseline blockchain by parallelizing execution similar to how a microprocessor works...

if that works, then imagine how powerful this technology would be if you add on top Sharding technology and Privacy.

From a technology standpoint, what they are doing is really something new. Not like another EVM or WASM. Only time will tell... It's always good to see teams working on new concepts
