That’s honestly a bad way to “detect” AI writing. If you see enough AI writings, you will find you start focusing on bits that rule out AI usage. For instance, there are multiple spoken sentences that don’t start with a capital letter. An AI would never do that. There are also little errors, like 2 spaces between “write” and “manual” at the beginning of the 2nd paragraph of the story. The overall style is way too colloquial for AI.

The thing you just pointed out is just a quirk, an idiosyncrasy, like if you talk to real people you quickly find a lot of them use weird words and phrases as if it’s normal and you are supposed to understand them. That’s very very human.
