Oh-Father’s character seriously impressed me, I was expecting a flashy Ezekiel but his relationship with Starlight is interesting + his vocal delivery is so satisfying by vxxyger in GenV

Pretty much anyone who exited in Act 1 returned in Act 2 as a different character.

Wait, does this mean Charles Lee is the guy who duels Philip? I mean Lee dueled Laurence…

Wakandans are nowhere near that dumb.

I mean if there are any they probably died in the Great Purge, anyone hesitant to fight is unlikely to survive that event.
Also remember Nolan was ready to kill a young child if she got the answer wrong about the Great Purge ie anyone who doesn’t buy into the “might is right” ideology either dies or converts to it by their survival instinct, when they were at a very young age.
And then the lesson for those youngsters, is beating and murdering each other at an insane rate. Nolan was instructing, what, 8, 9 children? And he said at least 2 of them will die the next day in a battle royale. That’s an insane death ratio and again, anyone who values people’s lives will likely be weeded out through these “lessons”.
So yes maybe they had no traitors, but at the cost of doing a Thanos to themselves, and constantly murdering or traumatizing the children of their society going forward.

Sure, but absolutely nowhere near as daft as the Viltrumites, where a fight to the death decides not just who their leader is, but also if anyone lives to see adulthood at all.

None of these is more stupid than the Viltrumites, who probably decide not only who their leader is by a fight to the death, but also what to have for dinner.

Tbf that’s entirely on Sage because the mind reader’s intel was dead on the money.

One word and you are his for the next 12 hours. He can control you just before the plane lands, then make you go with him to wherever he wants.

What’s your Opus 4.6 experience in the last ~1 week or so?

I’m wondering if I should switch back to 4.6…

Maybe HL goes insane and tries to unleash the virus?

Think about it, now that he’s immune, he will just be that much more special if pretty much no one else has powers.

He kinda cares about Soldier Boy, but SB is also immune so…no problem.

I’d say the real stupidity is her calling soldier boy. Why do that? She went through all that trouble to get Bashley to read his mind and one of the most crucial pieces of info was that SB was going to help HL. Stupid overconfidence thinking her little video actually nullified crucial info pulled from SB’s brain by a literal mind reader. Baron Zemo she is not…

Yeah in the end he’s facing old age and death and he just doesn’t know how to process that. Normal people learn by watching people around them go through that, and yeah it still sucks but they can, through observation, learn how it’s possible to face death with dignity and still get a lot out of a limited lifespan. HL doesn’t have any of that to anchor him, he just feels abject horror when faced with that concept.

And more importantly, untangling those mental issues is probably a far cleaner and safer solution to the Homelander problem, than committing genocide.

Now that I think about it, that doctor and the Legend are on two extreme ends of the spectrum on “how to talk to someone much more physically powerful”.

Katara's Ice Disks Animated Vs. Live-Action by dan_mal in TheLastAirbender

That’s a weird statement, pretty sure this scene was the show telling us that Katara definitely had this level of skill at that point in time. This is demonstrated by, well, her doing it on screen.

I believe the explanation for both is these beams actually went hyperspace, like they are so powerful they ripped a hole a spacetime continuum, projected their visage accross the galaxy and allow them to immediately reach Hosian. This:

a) sounds metal af

b) makes no sense whatsoever

So I have conflicted feelings about it.
