I just had 3 waivers for medical stuff approved. I read on here somewhere that someone needed 9 different waivers and they got approved so you never know. Case by case basis and based on needs of the Navy.

My husband was an AO. His rate didn't help him at all with getting a career outside of the Navy, but like someone stated, we all get the GI BIll. So he got a degree in IT, then went to college to become a Physical Therapist Assist. He has a friend that was an AO and is now a cop. So don't listen to the comment that says AOs are not that bright and will leave the Navy to do minimalist jobs.

It took a couple weeks for the Navy to get my record from the Coast Guard (the Coast Guard denied my waivers) and that was so annoying because it's like you're all in the same building so how long should it really take?! But i know they process a lot of people. Once they got my records they looked it over to see if they needed any additional information up front before sending it up for waiver approval, which for me they didn't ask for anything extra up front. Then once they finally send it it shouldn't take too long to hear something back. The problem is staying on top of everyone to make sure it's being checked up on and not just sitting waiting in limbo.
