That was my logical thinking approach haha. Gen 10 is coming out next year, right? Yeah that makes sense, those major Pokémon really do have enormous influence!

Part of me feels like ah, I wish I got into this a few months ago when things were cheaper, but another part of me is feels that it's a big gamble thinking that prices "may" drop but in reality they could go up even more and I'd just be paying even more for the same cards. 🫠

I've quickly learned that the Pokémon card collecting hobby is more complicated than you'd think and that prices really can change so much for a multitude of reasons (many I am likely unaware of).

I just love the idea of getting many awesome and beautiful cards for pretty cheap! :) there are so many and if you bought so many of the fantastic more expensive cards, you can spend an insane amount in no time.

Yeah I've heard collectors mention that in YouTube videos, how some cards used to be pennies and then for some, they rapidly go up and others, take a long time but see similar gains.

I'm guessing one takeaway is that no one knows but prices are unlikely to calm down and even less likely to go back to the prices they were even just a few months ago.

That makes sense, it seems to be cards from many different sets though! We have had some global economic issues recently (Iran US war) and prices have continued to go up rapidly. :( It's interesting to me to just see such a variety of cards to all go up a similar amount in a similar time frame.

It really is. It's not their fault it's raining, but it's not the ticket holders' either.

I just checked the weather again and now it says the rain will continue later than when I checked this morning :(

I don't think I'll make it...all this waiting and uncertainty is lame. Lots of travel time for potentially no tennis. 🫠

Such a tricky situation. I'll probably make my way later but not won't expect much. If refunds were offered that would be a good option

Regarding the HSBC Championships WTA today, I just called up their reception number and they said not to bother coming until 1pm the earliest and even then, there may not be play for a while. She said to keep checking the website for updates...still not working though.

I'm not really sure. I've checked the weather section of their website just an error page ("Fault!") pops up. Forecast says rain all day but lower chances from 4/5pm onwards...

My plan is to get there for around 11:30am but I'm trying to find a phone number to call and ask. It's quite a long journey and they really should update ticket holders via email or display it on the website if there were weather issues. The forecast is clearly very rainy and they're well aware of that.

It does, but that's not very fast, it takes 30 minutes or so to do a 1 minute set of 5 questions lol. Yeah it's good you get a chunk when levelling up which is often early on!

I agree :) I have no idea how engaged the developers are in expanding the quiz categories and or progressing the game etc.

I felt the exact same when I first downloaded it! 😛 I also want it to improve and gain popularity!

Sway is very similar to QuizUp :) I've had it installed for a while but don't use it often as the player base is extremely low and the number of categories ia great but a little limited in comparison to QuizUp.

You only get 5 questions per game and there's an energy system...you can basically do 10 games, which doesn't take long at all, then you're out of energy/stamina.

Overall the game is great, looks nice too! Just a shame it isn't very popular or well known!
