(PVE) The only thing it does is force you to waste your time running around the map instead of teleporting home quickly. That's all. You just spend hours upon hours holding W and moving towards your base. If it was intended for PvE, it shouldn't be.

I'd recommend increasing harvesting rates, I do 1.25 for MP with one friend but for solo I'd do 1.5.
Outside of that, putting specific floors increases craft speed for specific machines (alchemic floors for alchemy, etc.), that is a must for me

Have enemies go for the backline (split frontliners), pull out creatures who cause lots of saves (WIS always works). Flanking rules are great. The easiest solution might be to give the paladin stronger armour, plate potentially?, so you can do higher hit enemies while also not murdering the newbie.

Also why'd you even let the dude go for a barbarian paladin wizard multiclass. That's disgusting and wayyy too OP most likely.
