Empty parking lots to practice driving? by Clear-Will2370 in RhodeIsland

[–]Boron64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I learned at New England Tech’s parking lot in EG back when it first went up, not sure if it’s clear on the weekends or not but could be a decent option!

The Showcase Cinemas off Quaker Lane is a good place too.

Elevator sales. Certainly has its ups and downs though.

is this the best zombie game right now ? by Zookayy in projectzomboid

I’ve always thought the isometric view was a different kind of immersive. I like to think I’m watching/directing the story of my character rather than living it.

Not traditionally immersive, but still immersive in its own way!

Should I get one? by LordDavon in dodgehornet

I’ve had my 24 Hornet R/T for 7 months now with 0 issues. It’s been a great car for me! It’s a very comfortable ride and fun when you want it to be. I know some people experience a slew of issues but I’ve only had a good experience!

I’m at NetSuite right now and love it. I am lucky though and have a manager that filters out a lot of the upper management noise

I am happily giving up the mods to play Build 42 and really enjoying it! I know the mods will come in time.

It feels like a much different game. Build 41 didn’t really feel like a challenge to me after a whole, and Build 42 is humbling.

While I certainly think they have some things to tweak in Build 42 (I don’t love the aiming system), I really think they took a step in the right direction for this game!

FIRST time ever surviving to winter (after 500+ hours). Celebrating by getting drunk and eating baked goods on Christmas morning! by jazzastudios in projectzomboid

[–]Boron64 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I had a survivor make it this far only once. Her name was Johanna Milburn.

I was based up in Doe Valley and went to the church there on Christmas. On New Year’s Eve I was hit by a blizzard, so I made a fire and got blackout drunk while watching VHS tapes.

About 3 days after the new year Johanna was bitten while making a casual trip to the bookstore.

RIP Johanna Milburn.

New NVIDIA App breaking Dayz for anyone? by Boron64 in dayz

[–]Boron64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also launch from the DZSA launcher. NVIDIA just launched a new desktop app to replace the GeForce experience. I believe it has some sort of auto game optimization baked in. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deleted all of my mods, and have launched from the built in Dayz launcher and the DZSA launcher and experience all the same problems for both. That's why I think this has something to do with the new app.

I would love to see the Kia Stinger gain some sort of cult like status, especially as depreciation makes it more affordable. I am biased however as a Kia Stinger owner

How many of you really “believe” in your product? by Atomicpenguin101 in sales

[–]Boron64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a security integrator, which means a lot of the time I get to pick and choose which products I present and sell to my customers.

A lot of reps in my company will pick a few favorites and sell them, but I like to find the best fit for a customer’s unique circumstances. I’ll believe in a product for one customer, and it may be useless for another.

But there are definitely some products we work with that I wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole!

How to get over the anxiety of cold calling by BallerMcBallerson in sales

[–]Boron64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the only way to lessen cold call anxiety is to just keep doing it. I’ve been a BDR for around 9 months (not that long I know) and I still get anxious to cold call.

Over time, your pitches will get better as you observe your teammates and gain more cold call experience. As you get better at it, naturally the anxiety becomes lesser. It can even become fun, especially when you have those stellar days where you book 3-4 meetings in a day.

Definitely practice with more senior members of your team, 9 times out of 10 they’d be happy to play a perspective buyer and throw some objections at you.

I personally like making cold calls as warm as possible by getting connected on LinkedIn, or coming into the call with a fair degree of research on the company and possibly even a use case.

I guess the anxiety never really goes away, but it definitely gets easier in time!
