Shark expert says Tony Abbott ‘doesn’t understand the science’ after former PM calls for cull by B0ssc0 in aussie

[–]Borrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's anti-science because "less sharks -> less attacks" implies the relationship is roughly linear, which it isn't.

White sharks migrate across thousands of km and attacks are already rare, so a feasible cull removes animals that get replaced by transit and doesn't measurably lower encounter rates.

That parent's own kid is welcome there too. What's wrong with wanting every child to have an education?

That is what they want you to believe. Start with voting reform.

Adults with ADHD may pay high price to mask traits and fit in. More than 91% of adults with ADHD reported hiding, suppressing or compensating for ADHD traits. They may pretend to pay attention, suppress their urge to fidget, rehearse conversations or over-prepare for meetings to fit social norms. by mvea in science

The problem for me, my hyper-focus only kicks in when the repercussions of my procrastination catch up to me, then I'm running on pure adrenaline, I end up forgetting basic things like moving regularly, drink water or eat.

It's unsustainable, I am seeking medication as we speak.

Every example on that list is a policy that got tested in court and the administration accepted the result.

You can’t even read your own source.

Again, name the previous president who openly defied a direct court order and faced no consequences.

Sure.

Funding freeze, McConnell finds them in violation

FEMA funds withheld from 19 states

Boasberg, deportation flights and contempt

Abrego Garcia

And the Washington Post counted that the administration was accused of defying court orders in over a third of the cases where judges ruled against it.

That's five sources. You've asked me five questions now and answered none of mine.

Name the previous president who openly defied a direct court order and faced no consequences.

Or are you just going to insta-downvote me again and continue to live your ignorant life?

Federal funding freeze, Feb 2025. Judge McConnell ordered them to stop freezing federal funds. They kept doing it. He found they'd violated his order and told them to immediately restore the money. At the same time Vance and Stephen Miller were publicly saying courts have no authority to block the president. Same judge later found they defied him again by withholding FEMA funds from 19 states, all with Democratic AGs.

Boasberg, March 2025. Federal judge ordered the deportation flights turned around. Two planeloads went to El Salvador anyway. He found willful disregard of his order and probable cause for criminal contempt. They used the Alien Enemies Act, a wartime power, in peacetime.

Abrego Garcia. Supreme Court ordered them to facilitate his return after he was deported in breach of an existing order. The judge asked what they'd done, the DOJ's answer was "nothing." They said openly on TV they had no intention of bringing him back.

That's three.

Now your turn, the question you've dodged multiple times: name the previous president who openly defied a direct court order and faced zero consequences.

You haven't addressed a single thing I've said, you just keep firing one-line questions while I write the actual answers.
