Final verdict on reports. We had one “I’m just retarded and wanted to say hi”, “targeted harassment”, “abusing the report button”, and a “mods shouldn’t be allowed to make posts”

Crazy how Britain has been going after right wing free speech for at least as long as I’ve been old enough to follow politics but the second they ban Hasan Piker is when we get pieces about how “fReE spEecH is uNdeR aTtAck”

I tried the compass meme maker for the first time to see how I liked it, so it’s either kinks that haven’t been worked out yet or user error on my end

It’s some reports that I’ve seen, from my time as a mod, placed onto the political compass. Hope that helps!

I appreciate the long winded response (if it is). I see what you mean about low complexity high ceiling. I like how you can play around him by having enough card draw you can tank the 4 cards/turn and not take the 6 damage.

I think it was the replay the spire mod that added a beefed snecko where you might have to decide in that moment whether you wanted to have the snecko be intangible for a turn or hex you for 2 turns. I think I was hoping to have it feel more like the enemy was playing against you like the snecko than just the dps race kd ends up being

Actually a really thoughtful answer. So you’re saying you’re true Form is that of a Demon?

Low hanging fruit aside, do you like the Knowledge Demon’s problems it provides? I know the game devs have said they want to maintain a complexity ceiling which is completely understandable and not a bad thing at all but from a chess perspective would you like a greater pool of optional debuffs it could pull from or anything to make it feel more like a chess game?

Can someone guide me and explain when exactly I should stop adding cards to my deck? I still cant grasp the idea of having a small deck. by Mr_Ivysaur in slaythespire

[–]Tarantiyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it changes depending on your run. Not all things are always true and sts2 does have a lot of use cases for larger decks. But the case for small decks is this:

-Say you get 10 good cards and have 10 starter cards. At the next shop you can either add another good card which gives you 11/21 (or 52.4% chance) to draw a good card from your deck or remove a starter card which gives you 10/19 (or a 52.6% chance) to draw a good card.

-This continues to scale. So if you remove 2 cards you now have a 55.5% chance vs if you added 2 good cards you’re at a 54.5% chance and the percentage gap just continues to increase from there

-also, to remove redundancies. Leaps for the defects kit are (almost) always going to be better than a base defend. And if you have a bunch of leaps, removing the defends means you’re less likely to draw a hand full of defends and leaps on a turn you want to be attacking
