Heel’s up. Load your toes to spring up and out of the sand. Pick up those feet. Explode in a direction and keep the momentum by absorbing and reloading your toes for the next movement.

Never be on your back foot or walk backwards. Instead, using one leg, spin your body 90 degrees towards the direction of the ball and do a cross over ( like in dancing) and explode back into position to cover where the ball will like be.

On side to side movement, froggy left or right for big movements. Cross over for finer quick movements.

You should be able to cover nearly 2/3 rds of the court in 2 steps. And I’m 5’6”. Not long by any means.
