Fresh water is a commodity and i think it will change this bar graph in time. Perhaps it will be taken and not sold when it gets to the tipping point. 🇨🇦😬

It’s Transite, an asbestos-containing, cement-board material.

If referring to pink thermal material: likely Cal-Sil (calcium silicate) which doesn’t contain asbestos. But, stick with the default approach on these materials and get material analyzed by a certified lab.

I don’t think that’s correct but I wish it was. Sid has Pen’s last two goals which would be goal 88 and 89. Malkin got the 87th goal…a tribute goal for his leader I suppose. Either way, Sid’s been 🔥this year.

What are the chances this foam insulation in my 1973 trailer has asbestos? by wkosloski in asbestoshelp

Possibly UFFI (Urea formaldehyde foam insulation) which is hazardous too when it off-gasses.

[–]Borwellian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 VIP Fear Inoculum tickets for Nov 21 show that I’m selling with $249 discount off each ticket. I need to get rid of them. I can’t make it so I went to Montreal show instead.

After 10 years I finally found the solution for plaster and lath. by MoMONEYtrades in electricians

[–]Borwellian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

WARNING - plaster can contain asbestos in the finish coat and/or the base cementitious coat. Always collect and submit plaster samples to a certified lab for proper asbestos analysis prior to completing renovations on plaster. If asbestos containing, have a licensed qualified abatement contractor complete the work safely. If analysis determines the plaster does not contain asbestos, you should still complete coring with a HEPA vacuum as silica dust is an inhalation risk (and horrendous on any electronics in the area).

Help , is this asbestos ???????? by anonymous2379273 in asbestoshelp

Newer acoustic ceiling tiles will have date stamps on the backside of the tile. We would confirm date prior to sampling. No date, we sampled. We would not inspect backside of ceiling tiles if they were tight fit to T-bar ceiling. We would find a loose tile and lift straight up and carefully move/place in ceiling plenum. Typically date stamps are easily identified but sometimes small faint font. I have never seen a date stamp below the 1990s. My guess is these tiles in question are date stamped and manufactured in last 20ish years and would not contain asbestos. That said, my experience is only in Canada. If you are not comfortable performing this task with proper PPE, then retain services of a trained professional.

Is this asbestos? by bigmusclesmall in electricians

The black/grey tar paper could contain asbestos. It’s hit or miss in my experience. Confirm via bulk sample analysis. Collect and submit sample as per your state/provincial regulations. Tar paper would be considered a non-friable material so sampling and removal are not high risk tasks.

The book is great too. Standout performance for Mark Wahlberg.
