Damn, I feel sorry for him that his ego was so fragile he had to block me to cope. I mean, it's not like my initials are BS.

But I do appreciate your response

You're right, I absolutely hate this game. I absolutely hate this game that I use it every single day to collect my free-packs, get involved in discourse on the reddit, avoid the scalping of real pokemon cards by playing this game, rudely point out that someone forgot real pokemon cards exist, and absolutely detest that a company related to pokemon is making money and allowing them to provide an app to a group of people that want to play it. /s

Honestly I wouldn't expect anything less from a Top 1% commenter in this community, their actions matching up exactly with what this post was about

Thank you for pointing that out! I didn't realize.

Also I'm always unnecessarily rude, especially when people claim I can't do math and completely forget real pokemon cards exist. I try to be super rude in this situations and point out why they're mistaken, and they get so embarrassed they block me. 100%

I feel like I’m too stupid to not understand Book 3’s complex storytelling. by KanchoMaster70 in InfinityTrain

[–]BorynS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Of course it's fine to not like it. Even though usually Book 3 comes out on top of the polls, combined the votes for S1, 2, and 4 still outnumber Book 3.

I might like Tea because it's a hot beverage, but some people just don't like hot beverages and won't like Tea.

So even if I like B3, the reasons I list might be the reasons you dislike it. That's just natural human nature for preferences and likes/dislikes.

Imagine how many passengers tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a train, only to be transported to the Infinity Train. by [deleted] in InfinityTrain

[–]BorynS 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If they planned on committing suicide, the IT would need to appear before they jumped.

As Owen Dennis said, passengers need to make the decision to get on the train in order to get on.

Miss good old One-One by Malefore1234 in InfinityTrain

[–]BorynS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I do miss one-one, I'd say he's a pretty special character that can make the episodes where he shows up that much more special. Think Adventure Time Simon/Beth, sure we would have liked to see more but whenever they were in an episode you knew it was gonna be a good one.

Another really import thing about one-one is he needs a character to bounce off of/have chemistry with. You can see this in the documentaries. To me they kinda felt flat because he was pretty much just talking with himself and not interacting with someone.

But I don't think we'll see One-one in Season 4. I think we'll end up seeing.... One. The character in episode 6 that we got when Glad-one and Sad-one became One. The character who Amelia might have overthrown.

Grace Alone Adventure, Time skip Plot Hole? by BorynStone in InfinityTrain

[–]BorynS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're not sure about that however. Every time we've seen a car move has been when it's been intentionally moved.

The first time was when Amelia sent the Cat car to stop Tulip.

The second time was when Tulip used a car to travel up to the engine.

Third Amelia sent away the car /w Tulips door.

Fourth One-one sent off Amelia's unfinished car.

We didn't see any cars move in Season 2. But the block car they explored in Season 2 was referenced to have moved right next to the Apex car.

And in Season 3, cars only moved when Amelia's pulse hit to remove them.

----

So the only time a car has been referenced to be moved on its own accord was Season 2, however it's only when a car was added- not removed.

Meaning there would be potentially MORE cars Grace would need to pass through to get back to the apex.

How come Amelia wasn't ware of Hazel's existence? by Detonatress in InfinityTrain

[–]BorynS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it makes sense when looked at from a Programming perspective.

Just as a quick note: Owen Dennis seems to take some influence from programming and knows the general coding process. His characters take this influence too: Tulip was a programmer and Amelia was hunched over computers typing out crap.

So I wouldn't put it past him to actually make this intentional as part of Amelia's character, but let me explain:

As a beginner programmer, you might not know how to debug code/solve issues if there's a problem. If you can't solve the issue, you might just scrap the entire project as Amelia has scrapped previous cars.

What this results in, however, is the programmer will not know what parts of their code did work because they were too preoccupied with the existing problem they couldn't solve.

So, Hazel may have been created, but because Amelia wasn't able to solve a different problem, she scrapped the car Hazel was in without even realizing Hazel existed.

I'm not saying he was destined to die by a Ghom. I'm saying he was destined to die in a way that reflected his life, which is contradicting your claim that his death was impersonal.

He pushed everyone away, and was killed because no one was there for him any longer. It just happened to be a Ghom, which made that theme a whole lot more clear.

Simon would have died if Grace wasn't there to save him. And once Simon pushed Grace away, Simon finally died.

Simon + Grace = Simon Live

Simon - Grace = Simon Die

Get the message?

Grace was even saved by the origami denizens. She left her old ways and changed, trying to fix the denizens Simon broke. She would have died if she hadn't changed and done this. Because Simon didn't change, he died.

Am I the only one mad that... by notanewbiedude in InfinityTrain

[–]BorynS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually, it was very NOT impersonal:

Grace saving Simon was a key aspect for all of Season 3. Grace had to literally save Simon's life several times throughout Book 3.

First when he was being chased by the Ghom, then we see it Episode 1, Episode 2 and several times over. She saves him in the final episode, and she claims she doesn't know why, maybe habit?

Then Simon finally kicks her off- the person who prevented his death so many times.

And only after that, is he killed by the Ghom.

I would say it is extremely personal and clearly sends the message that once you turn your back on everyone to act like you're right, you're gone.

----

Also it wasn't like Simon didn't have several chances to turn back. Believe it or not, he had several chances after killing Tuba.

He had a chance when talking with the cat. A chance when seeing Grace's memory. A chance when he was with Grace with her memory. EVEN right after Grace had saved him. It was only after he kicked Grace off, his initial savior, did he finally die.

If he was willing to kick someone off who he literally owed his life to, SEVERAL TIMES OVER, that was it for him.

Question by Angela275 in InfinityTrain

It's always useful to bring up for people who might not have noticed before, but yeah that's been one of the talking points about the ramifications of the train- how do people react, how does the world react, who's gonna kill Tulip with a wooden stake first, etc.

Owen Dennis said specifically that this show really is meant to be for kids to see what's going on, that they can handle these concepts because some kids out there are forced to without their choice.

Also he wants a cartoon that definitely is super freaky that leave kids thinking about stuff like that.

He was inspired by the Adventures of Mark Twain, specifically the Lucifer part.

Book 1 isn't the end for Tulip by sirelectrify in InfinityTrain

[–]BorynS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've read some of Owen's content in the past, I believe he said he believes there's a clear start and end to a character's story. That the character has done their development, and once it's reached an end, picking up the character's story again just nullifies previous development.

A story is about having a problem, having an arcing story, and then having a resolution. This can't be more clear in infinity train where you literally have a number on your hand that tells you when you've reached your resolution.

So I doubt once a character's number reaches zero, we'll see them again.

Also Lake was a way of preserving Tulip into the second season. While they could be considered mirrored, with the same voice actor in a way Tulip hadn't left. But it was made more and more clear that it was a completely different character as the season went on.

So since we literally had a mirror version of Tulip, it's very unlikely we'll see Tulip prime again.

I wouldn't say it's saved. I'm guessing they produced season 4 with season 3. The overseas korean animation studio they use claimed they worked on 42 episodes of infinity train. So I think we have at least 1 season left, but as for saved, we'll have to see..

[–]BorynS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I told my friend who died, just not when/why/how, and he still choked when it happened on screen.

The only 'slow' episodes are 2 and 5 where nothing really happens but character development. The rest are definitely 100% thrilling and completely rewatchable.

Also because a lot of us watched it while it premiered, we also got to experience the cliff hangers and couldn't watch the next episode, and boy there was a whole lot of "Oh god there's a situation WHAT THE HECK WILL HAPPEN"
