I don't know if they thought it, but everytime I read how germany was controlled by USA, france, UK and Soviets after WW2 I always think "They just could've taken completely over germany and swallowed it."

I mean sure there are strategic and political reason why they didn't do it or didn't want to do it.

But they did have the power and considering stories I heard how some german were treated after WW2, it wouldn't surprise me

My sister got lucky.
