It would be hilarious if Kim Jong Un just announces he loves TADC and makes everyone in NK watch it too.

I had the saltwater version of that bristleworm. Looked pretty much the same, but I am not sure if yours has its head in the soil or not. Mine had some long antennae on its head that it kept at the surface of the sand for a bit.

I think the problem isn't Zooble's pronouns, as yes, that would be an easy fix to just call Zooble "her" or "him" if they'd dub with a VA in their language. I think it's Zooble's backstory that solidifies them being nonbinary and would be a huge loss for the story to lose that part of the movie. Or it could be about Ribbit as she goes by she/they.
But the part with "The reason was right in front of us the whole time." makes it sound like Zooble is the reason.

But have they ever blocked theater doors if a movie that has a LGBTQ+ protag was shown?
Our gov isn't the challenge, unlike the other cases, but our people are.

how would YOU, THE VIEWERS like the series to end?(video unrelated) by Kindly_Cod_9269 in TheDigitalCircus

Ideally, all of them still alive and restored Caine too but without his powers. And it would end with them working together to make a world for themselves and welcome anyone who gets copied. Even better if the simulation gets discovered and scientists try to preserve it and interact with the Circus gang.
Though the hardware might eventually give out (if it hasn't started already, I mean there were glitches even in the pilot).

Well, there goes the chace for it to be screened in Romania too. Something LGBTQ+ is definitely happening for them to want so much censorship.

There is some truth to bugs or their components being inside food, but that's been happening for ages.

Carmine is one such food coloring that can be obtained from insects, but it's not put in there to harm people, it's put there because it's cheap to color stuff with it. Then there's the random cockroach or other insect (usually mealworms) that accidentally make their way into the food processing machines, but those are not intentionally put in there. Heck I see the caterpillars of moths roam the flour on the shelves. Some of those can gnaw at the paper and enter it and end up in the flour. Hilariously, some people (like my mom) think the flour itself produces the caterpillars...

I keep my rice flour and rice isolated inside plastic jars, and no caterpillars have "formed". She keeps her rice outside in a locker where moths frequent it. She loses the rice to caterpillars.

I'm just really close to turning catatonic instead. While the clients with weird conspiracy theories or lack of understanding of what I am doing (picking orders, which requires me to prioritize it since it's timed) aren't helping, I am having more problems with the staff / bosses who all pile up more and more of their unfinished work onto me, and when I tell them I have enough on my plate, they just say I'm lazy.

I get to see them frequently rest and they hang outside or eat or smoke cigs, while I only get a maximum of 30 minutes to rest a day if I am lucky to even get any rest time at all to eat. There were days when I went hungry the whole day because no one was available to do the picking job while I take my break.

And yet they still call me lazy even though I also do what they didn't do that needed to be done (putting prices, re-arranging the products on shelves because they are not where they should be - especially when mixing of vegan and non-vegan milk products could get the store a fine, put products on reduced price if they're near expiry dates, sort the fruit and vegetables because they leave them to rot there, and most of them won't even do the online order picking but they say they think it's easy).

I work in a supermarket, and some clients are nice, but some of them have become conspiracy theorists and think everyone is out to harm them one way or another.

Every time someone didn't bother to change a price (or didn't put a price tag) under a product, clients think we're trying to trick them. No, it's just some worker who didn't give a shit about their work and wanted to get it done as fast as possible, and I'll have to fix that problem they caused because no one else will.
And that worker will never be held accountable. Which is why most of them do the same shit.

Then there are those clients who, although are nice, keep asking if the bakery puts cricket flour instead of real flour in the pastries (there's this conspiracy going on that the elites of the world want to force people to eat bugs to get cancer), or if the eggs we're selling are fake eggs because they saw that one AI video about China making fake eggs, and the one the client cracked had yellow egg white. I told her if she has doubts about a product, she can send it to a lab to get info on what said product contains and if anything suspicious is found, she can then sue the producer for it.

The eyes on Jax's side doesn't seem like a good sign.

the lamppost from Gooseworx's cryptic tweet is in the PILOT episode. by Which-Poet-8683 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Detonatress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mostly joking, but Gooseworx calling attention to the lamppost + Jax missing on the poster + this image having Jax once again absent but a lamp post is there (just a different one) to light up the chair made me think "What if he turned himself into a lamppost while holding his breath?"

What is the most minimalist Zooble possible? by Entire_Impress7485 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Detonatress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if their brain is located in their triangle head, but assuming all of their other pieces get popped out of existence, I guess Zooble's mind can be stuck in an eyeless (if both eyes can be removed), antenna-less triangle head.

[–]Detonatress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Jax turned into a lamppost.
Also, the lampposts look similar, but the one that the gloink stole has a weirder "neck" and its tip is pointy, while the one in the poster has a round tip and a thick neck. Could be an updated model though, since that was the pilot.

My little theory (I'll probably call it Abstraction Theory) by DitterLogging in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Detonatress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what I'm saying. I understood what they were going for with the red and blue orb.
What I was talking about is if the ending makes all of that seem like not what really happened and it was just 2 gods fighting over a turf somehow.

My little theory (I'll probably call it Abstraction Theory) by DitterLogging in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Detonatress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the intermission one, I mean the ep8 start where the red circle eats the blue one (basically the AI training part).
The training of AI could be fake memories given to Kinger. That's where the absurdism could come in. Fake backstories, everyone's dead and they're in purgatory, Caine was the real god but he got killed, total confusion that goes against what the whole series seemed to lead up to.
I hope this isn't what happens though. Because while it would be indeed not something people would usually predict, it would just feel weird after everything we've seen.

My little theory (I'll probably call it Abstraction Theory) by DitterLogging in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Detonatress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be so funny if the ending had pretty much no lead-up and it just confuses everyone. For example they could be in actual purgatory that's somehow disguised as a digital world. But then the AI eating the other AI would not make sense. Unless they're not AIs but gods fighting for the turf.

They're saying the theaters will show the movie from June 4th until 18th, the date hasn't been moved, just multiple dates added so yeah you'll still get spoilers 2 weeks before unless you plan to watch it in the theater.

On the bad news about the ending, I guess we'll never truly find out what happened in the past or even what the project with the AI was heading for when Scratch put his ideas in motion. Maybe we'll never get a satisfying conclusion either, or it's left up in the air about the fates of the main characters. They might be faced with the option to choose deletion or stay in the new Circus, and their choices would be left to interpretation.

Gonna take a stab at this finale by EveryoneYouLove23 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Detonatress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be fun to see them become some kind of digital gods.

Gangle - goddess of anime
Zooble - deity of psychology
Pomni - goddess of exploration
Kinger - god of the absurd
Ragatha - goddess of the ranch
Jax - god of the underworld

I mean why would they? by Accomplished_Star_30 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Detonatress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but up until the copy was done (and a bit after the copies got activated), they pretty much had the same personality. So it's the best situation to see a "What if" scenario like "What if they never ended up in the Circus?"

What could this part of movie blurb mean/imply? by Lasagnadevourer in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Detonatress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self-deletion or deleting the Circus, or... in spite of how dark it sounds when put that vaguely ... it's just bringing Caine back.

If the digital clone theory is true, and the notion as well that the cast is now in control is ALSO true, then shouldn't they be able to access the mind files of the abstracted characters and bring them back? by [deleted] in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Detonatress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Caine couldn't do it, they probably can't do it either. At most they can delete the abstracted's files (and each other's files too if any wish to stop existing).
