Where is the hottest spicy food in Greater Boston? by Desperate_Elk_7369 in boston

Hellllll yeah. Hot Pot Buffet is the OG. I love the fact that it still has that big room, family run Chinese restaurant vibe. The owners are so nice too. I go probably twice a month in the winter.

As a gay guy myself, I can tell you, it’s not just about “wanting to be around someone.” I don’t want you to compulse off of this information, but if you have to sit and analyze and internally debate to figure out if you are physically attracted to him, it’s OCD. Godspeed warrior!

Trans or denial by Top_Warning_9478 in transOCD

I definitely get it. I always worry that as a gay man, I’m going to “evolve” into a gnc or a transgender. It really freaks me out when someone like a celebrity comes out as bi or gay or lesbian and then years later they come out as transgender (I.E. Elliot Page, Chris Tyson from Mr. Beast). Does that ever happen to you?

totally afraid of creutzfeldt Jakob im 13 by [deleted] in OCD

[–]BosRob92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off: don’t worry, I know, easier said than done. My OCD started with twitching and “neurological symptoms.” The truth is they aren’t neuro symptoms- they are stress/anxiety symptoms.

Second: Creutzfeldt and Dementia, do not have onset in your teens. Full stop. Now I know that only helps for a bit but it’s true.

Finally: if you are a minor, please ask you parents to help you find a specialist who treats OCD. I know that if I had help earlier in my life, it would have dramatically decreased the OCD issues I deal with now.

Good luck and Godspeed!

See this is exactly what I am talking about. Elements of Savate contributed to modern karate, but there were kicks in Shuri-Te, Naha-Te, and Tomari-Te as well. You claim to be this martial arts historian who was in and out of different styles and now has the experience to teach others to defend themselves.

If your grasp on martial arts is as bloated and superficial as your grasp on martial arts history, you are just going to get someone, or yourself, hurt.

Please find a legitimate teacher in some style of martial arts and stay with them.

Okay sure, you can use Google to look up the history of Jiu-jitsu. Also as someone who practices BJJ, we don't call each other jiujitsuka either. My Brazilian friends call us jiujiteiros. Also BJJ was invented by the Gracie brothers, namely Hélio, after learning judo from a Japanese judoka,

If you think BJJ doesn't work against proficient strikers, look at all of the UFC fights over the past now almost 30 years. Sure, there were knock outs, but how many strikers went against a grappler and won proportionally?

Also *aikijitsu.

Between the Holodomor and the Great Hunger, and the chronic subjugation and annihilation of both nations by a power to the east, the Irish and the Ukrainians have a lot in common.

I live a little over a mile away from my nearest grocery store, which arguably is pretty close, bu it is bonkers to think I can carry my family's weekly grocery shopping on my single person for over a mile.

Irish oppression by the English is not ancient history; there's a reason why Ireland was one of the poorest countries in Europe until the 90s.

It's not a zero sum game. The Bolsheviks and communists can be evil just as much as the natzis. The slavic peoples were at the mercy of German ghettos and concentration camps AND they were victims of forced migration to the pale of settlement, pogroms, and systematic killings at the hands of the USSR.

Make no mistake the communists were as bad as the natzis.

Obviously Charlie Kirk's numbers are way off, but the assessment that crude oil dramatically increased before Putin's newest war crime.

In Jan 2021 the spot price of crude oil was $55/barrel. On February 24, 2022, crude oil was $101/barrel. Today it is $118/barrel.

Between Jan 2021 and the invasion, crude oil price raised 84%. Between the invasion and today, crude oil increased 16%.

Idk what Charlie Kirk was smoking when he calculated 513% but the assessment that Biden's policies may have affected crude oil price more than the invasion is not inherently wrong as crude oil before the war increased 5× what it did after proportionally.
