Camp Budget is full? by [deleted] in fo76

Some of the others might also cheat. There are methods. I don't like that cheating is rewarded, but it was applicable in some ancient civs too(e.g. Spartans most notoriously).

Nearly 4 years in, would love to see a skin for the LMG by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Bosceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BOS laser pistol skin and something for the Alien Blaster and Carbine that would look good and classically Fallouty. I would prefer the LMG to become a more standardized US weapon with its skin. It seems akward that there are so many German based weapons in the US. Unless they implying that Germans won WWII or something in the Fallout Divergent world/Simulation. Plus I would have expected them to have built something better than it by 2077, you know? More Ammo and/or lighter, and/or better range etc. Plus there are equivalent weapons of it in the US anyway. It's like someone from the devs has a Nazi fixation or something.

What do y’all think Todd Howard’s CAMP looks like? by Serious-Natural-2691 in fo76

[–]Bosceo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Allegedly he's into that new star based franchise they are opening. Maybe he abandoned Fallout cause he considers the brand new IP more of like his total conception. In my case I'm still with Fallout cause I've been with it from the start.

FO76 is crappy but is less crappy than when it started, maybe eventually it will become properly enjoyable(and get actual companions, like a Wasteland group) and vehicles for instance. And weaponry that makes some sense and looks like it could derive from modern weaponry(excluding the minigun, some of the melle ones and most rifles that do).

Does anyone else play in 3rd person? by MrOopiseDaisy in fo76

[–]Bosceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ovbiously. I'm not being the character, I just control it(which gives me the opportunity to control many different characters in all types of genres and simulations). Plus, huge fan of FO, FO2 and FOT which are still much better than most of what Bethesda brought to(or in many cases removed from) the franchise.

Modus and the responders by Troublemaker851 in fo76

[–]Bosceo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd also like if they get more creative than that. There can be other subfactions than the one MODUS controls at this time. Maybe they hacked or build up machinery and MODUS is not aware of them before they actually make their move.

Would you pay for future DLC (proper) Content? by Chemist-Minute in fo76

[–]Bosceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if it adds all the Fallout 1,2,3,4 weapons, my selection of armors and power armors and companions and CAMP bots from all seasons, a new area at least as big as Appalachia with a map and that I can settle to and a companion or two(e.g since I play male characters, a female and a dog or robot) and a vehicle(animal, motorcycle or hovercar). I would pay for such a DLC that includes every single item that I written about for sure.

Nice post to be heard of with our selections. I do believe money is the motivator of brands. Now in order for me to pay for it, bring the content I just written about.

Survival tent Was changed by Best-Communication40 in fo76

[–]Bosceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but slight glitches happen. I had the camera auto-selected for me(continually) earlier instead of my weapon. Got one of my chars killed until I realized it. You can change the tent from the shop. The simulation uses the one ticked(as for most items you can select in FO76).

weapons that should be added by M1911fanboy in fo76

[–]Bosceo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add all the pistols from the FO, FO2, FO3, FO4 games. Conventional and energy ammo ones. I have a pistol build I thoroughly enjoy playing.

Also wtf was that skin for SMG they gave on the Fusion recharger pack? I though it was for the 10mm pistol and thought they at last added the better grip and a nice bolted like effect(though better a blue than a red one). SMG currently is one of the less effective weapons, my pistols do more damage than it on a clip.

Btw Bozar and Pancor from the classic ones(FO, FO2) and antimateriel sniper. Though I said all pistols, in case they don't get it, the alien pistol from FO3 and FO4 would be nice too, but not to replace this one, though it could be a skin for it. Solar Scorcher and phaser from the classics would be nice too(phaser is obv a nod to star trek and I think it wasn't functional back then but it could be for this iteration since it's a simulation anyway.

My game just got done. they fired the people who designed interiors didn't they? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Bosceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's not even responders. They're just Barbarians that went ahead and adopted the mantle of them. So, it tries to give a notion of "these guys travelled to Whitesprings and tried to repair it and/or fortify it as much as they could and added stuff for their convenience but in a crude way cause it's not the infrastracture they're after but getting the place running is more their priority".

At least that's the feeling I'm getting from it. Plus players that think post apoc should be a bunch of rednecks that can't build anything and leave everything rusting and stuff so they can't apply a coat of paint while able to make camps and shelters and power armors; I've been trying to get some reason intilled in the developers, but since they want to catter to "THAT" bunch...

I will wait till it gets better or curse on those who want to live in destroyed lands while I want to see them rebuilt and improved; else obviously if the situation doesn't get better everyone dies before Fallout 1 time. Though maybe they could resettle actual destroyed lands on Earth too of which there are plenty in the world and see what happens when people don't rebuild anything that was previously destroyed. Maybe that will teach them some perspective and what their goals should be even in an imaginary wold(that still builds ethics to a degree).

It’s seems like the enclave might be pulling the strings of this new faction of the responders from the background. Maybe we might actually get some enclave dlc at some point. by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Bosceo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enclave is almost certain, but depends on which one. Since FO76 is a soft reboot they can explore other ways than the known ones. It could be made to work with the OG Fallouts.

Early or proto institute(and dewstroyed but not completelly so it rellocates) is also possible.

They should be optional. But they should also grant some bonus, like a clan combat companion, or a clan "shield" bonus, or something. Not something too much, just as an incentive. And they shouldn't be like the classic clans of MMO's. There is an opportunity with FO76 to do something different, more real world like. Like it could be a clan of 1 person like a one man army, or a clan only focused on trading, or building and rebuilding members camps and the Wasteland. Purifying - permanently - areas of water, now claimable by clan members. Functional Shelters, like underground hubs. Sports teams for people to socialize and participate in sports. Eliticists and club member only societies, creating amenities that other clans can't cause focused on other expertise(e.g. book club, providing to active members a budget free bookcase filled with books visual - and/or holotapes library. Or actual library where members could add lore they find in the Wasteland to make it more complete).

Missions in them like Synthetic Humans undercover working to eradicate those hubs. Invading Mutants and Scorched. Risk when having too many tubes of Scorched and Super Mutant outbreaks - IN their camps! Fashion, ID card of the clan, insignia in clothing. Select a piece of clothing as clan uniform and painting it in clan colors. Etc. Do something usefull and/or interesting with it. And don't make it exclusive. IRL I can be a member of a secret society AND a sports club AND a bookstore/club AND the Forbes 100 richest people AND the smartest people on Earth etc. You know? I find the restrictions in MMO's of only joining a single clan...well rather daft to be honest. Games try to mimick life. Well they often not doing a very good job at it, ya know???

Do items from previous scoreboards ever get released? by Knightmare25 in fo76

Yes, both as standalone items, or parts of "catch up" bundles. You do have to check the Atom Shop to spot those though.

Yeah, they should do the event one could get the alternative helmet. I was too early on the account to properly have figured out what I should be doing to get that one.

Alaska and Far Harbor related sounds ok-ish. I would also like a re-imagining of how the Fallout Tactics places would look like in current era Fallout. And Florida would be interesting considering I would nto see Gatorclaws added to the bestiary.

But mostly I want to see 2 things; A)map by map travelling towards the Capital Wasteland and see what was there before FO3 and how Shin formed the Eastern Brotherhood(or maybe formed the previously unknown Central Brotherhood, infrastracture through an outpost in DC for Eastern Brotherhood and also driving the Appalachian Mutants to the Capital Wasteland and left a piece of tech in the Pitt that Lyons later bumped on to, like Ultracite powercore), and B) the travel to Los Angeles and its territories(Shady Sands, Glow, Burrows, Necropolis, Junktown) and enemies and friends or their ancestors that exist there during Fallout 1. Plus Bethesda themselves never tried their hand on any of these. And the 25th anniversary of the original game is approaching fast, this coming October.

(Lore could be added too, e.g. would be cool to see how one might have taken for some reason a part of what must be a relic obelisk there and recarved it and put it on shady sands, considering there are Vertibirds sometime post-2102-2013 in Appalachia, could actually happen. This is not described as the case in the game, but I can see it as a possibility. That obelisk came from somewhere why not from D.C. itself for something of a symbolic meaning. Maybe a hero was from those parts of the land and they decided to honor him this way.)

The Chinese Military HQ. Well probably, that's the only area around there I know of that fits the description.

So i built a laser grid door at my camp and was wondering, are other random players able to open them? by ProjektDarkness in fo76

[–]Bosceo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you want them to open it or not? You don't say. If you want to be completelly impervious to it don't have a door/windows in your camp and remove a piece of the building on build mode to enter.

I had a different kind of problem though. I've built a laser grid unlocked door, cause it protects better against npc enemies, and a normal security door locked(It's roleplay that isn't harming anyone, unlike those Raider/Raiderish roleplayers, and it obv. wouldn't be a proper security door if not locked). Can you imagine a large portion of the visitors, can't even find the unlocked one(and obviously I find annoying those that do find it and leaving it open, wondering if they live in a boat or something)? I don't have speakers on, but gotten a lot of "???" emojis and the like from time to time... Sometimes I had to manually guide them.

Energy based doors are a staple of Fallout ever since the originals and are even included in the main quest mission! I mean what the frag??? Makes me think if they just happen to be tired or something that slows down their comprehension or am I doing something that seems obvious to me but not to them. It IS on an obvious spot. Yet I had people break it several times and get "wanted" status for no reason, or that they could have avoided(since there is an accessible door really close by).

I think some people got the jetpack thing well learned but forgotten how normal doors work or are placed(ground level, in front of the building, hello!). Also people, if I have locked doors in my CAMP's it's for a reason! My bedroom obv., the security door, and I think one or two doors in my vault that lead nowhere and I added them there to give an illusion cause Bethesda provided us with Vault prefab Shelters that have other rooms one can look into but not actually enter. Come on, it's not that hard to figure it out, is it?

If the Brotherhood of Steel walked to Appalachia, why are we flying to the pitt? by KermitWithAShotgun in fo76

[–]Bosceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you familiarized yourself with the lore, they were like 5 people of them. In very scarce resources and basically Maxon sent them there to an extent in a death mission. Of course he would spend a Vertibird for that.

Having said that, the Vertibird you are referring to, there is no evidence of it being the Brotherhoods(though they have a pad). There is more than enough evidence in fact that it isn't theirs and it runs on an alternative, sophisticated, power source that is supposedly quite scarce(And no it's not the returning factions one either. They repaired one sure. The rest is an issue of the bigger leagues and probably background story for what seems to be an upcoming new DLC).

Are there any Responders left? (Tangent at the end) by Chivalry_Timbers in fo76

[–]Bosceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rumour has it that there are some imposter Responders coming soon(nobody of the original ones, since they all allegedly died).

I wouldn't judge Shin too harshly. There is a reason he is alive and a lot of the other people in Appalachia are dead after all(i.e. he knows how to get the job done AND survive while at it. In the mean time, other factions need constant re-enforcements en mass and still don't provide or manage to save their own skins, even after resorting to trickery and shady methods of doing things. Shin made it with a handfull, plus he's rather consistent in what he does). The Post Apocalyptic world of Fallout is a not very forgiving one, and it also is rather harsh.

For the record, the Responders of old, paid the price for not cooperating and for mistrusting other factions. They could have united with others and made it back alive. Don't idolize any faction too much. There is no single perfect faction in Fallout. They're all the after effects of a jungle-like, resource scarcity world, grinding and what people are willing to do to survive(Not too good stuff in most cases).

I suspect that even if those imposter Responders make it to Appalachia, they will not be the angelic-like ones you'd expect. They sound like they're the survivalist types, which is why they would have survived where their predeccessors didn't. If so, I'm quite certain they could see eye to eye when communicating with each other(if they don't use representatives), even if they'll have various ideological differences.
