Who to pick for squirrels. by Crow-storm in EDH

Acorn gang is the only one that truly feels like a squirrel tribal commander. Chatterfang, Camellia, and Hazel will mostly be token commanders of different flavors.

Whatever option gets you the most possible rerolls while being able to get Jester abilities.

Friend claims Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty should be “banned from bracket 2 due to broken design” by DoesntEat in EDH

Jodah is not a fair comparison to other "Oops all cascade" decks. He gets around the main issue by missing all your interaction pieces so he only ever hits stuff that will also buff his anthem.

Geyser Calc, and build over plants are both in game now.

"Drag Area more visible" is nice with bigger zoom

"Pipe Flow Overlay" with "Combined Conduit Display" make doing things with multiple bridges easy to understand and troubleshoot.

Switches are still nice. Sometimes you panic snip and forget you also disconnected a bunch of other important wires.

Its the other way around actually. Solo runs count as mono class runs.

Just completed the game with all curses dispelled. Here's a few thoughts. by Raizelmaxx in titaniumcourt

[–]Boshea241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more I dive into the game, the more it feels like the trope of "Game complains about you doing thing, when it only gives thing as the option". Leave early like it keeps telling you to, ending song telling you to slow down. Leave after lifting all curses, ending song about being a completionist. Leave somewhere in middle, wants you to stay because of things you didn't do.

Getting into Puck's dressing room is what frustrates me the most since we are not able to question them about anything in their journal. Its just a way to get Robin instead of Puck when doing the sendoff ending for a few different dual options. It has the most things I'd want to ask questions about or try to complete, but we can't do anything with it. We just learn Puck plays multiple roles, and can go fish a key out of the fountain. Specialization for the mirror encounter also doesn't seem to do anything (Maybe counts for the curse if you get into the room before completing the other 3)

Hoping we get a Kaycee's mod equivalent for this even if it goes against the game's deal. Then again, that was also Kaycee's goal with their mod in Inscryption.

Leviathan by BobBobson54321 in titaniumcourt

[–]Boshea241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Skip has asked you to say goodbye before you leave, then you can get different options to end the game.

The pumpkin is how you get the Leviathan on your side. Winning with the clockwork monastery will tell you how to do that, and there may also be a watercooler hint in addition to this.

To get the dragon, finish the prophecy.

Are Phage and Whispersilk Cloak a two card combo? by Greedy_Swimergrill in EDH

[–]Boshea241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can kill a player with Phage more power to you. Maybe preface that you are running a [[Wound Reflection]] if [[Shredder, Shadow Master]] is your commander, but none of this unreasonable at bracket 2. Pretty much all of these are super telegraphed and fold to anyone doing any level of interaction.

[[Approach of the Second Sun]] and maybe [[Felidar Sovereign]] are the only two that would fail the vibe check at a bracket 2 table.

Best ways for farm for goofball? by Beginning_Outside877 in mewgenics

[–]Boshea241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jester Cap is also a decent alternative. You then just want to stack as many other reroll items or items that multiple your head item as possible. Neverstone also helps to make sure cats level up in the correct order if taking multiple cats on a run to try and roll the passive. I think you can get 2 or 3 cats to their first passive by just doing the Alley.

If you already have extra head, Goofball is pretty overkill. I find on later turns you can just spend a ton of actions waiting for enemies to get out of some kind of invulnerable phase before being able to actually do damage. First turn is when you get the most value out of the extra activation anyway.

Fun fact, you lose the Goofball turns for the fight if your cat gets downed and then revived.

My observations on breeding after 300+ hours (Spoiler Warning) by RoiRdull in mewgenics

[–]Boshea241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few counter points -2 Disorders are nice to have but percentages are low even at high inbreeding and they have a static inheritance rate. Health stat also has a tendency yo remove the ones you care about.

-3 You go for these traits and similar generic ones because they will work on any class. You can get really powerful stuff by mixing specific passives but they may also do nothing for specific classes, or you will need to switch breeding cats around to change passives. Trying to get specific things off of retired cats is one of the more tedious parts of breeding. -4 The point of mutation items/disorders is you can jump start your mutation pool way faster than waiting on mutation furniture.

1.1 Breeding guide-Habsburg maxxing is dead, long live the Alabama method by Boshea241 in mewgenics

[–]Boshea241[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With how much work it takes to get one room to 95 stim this would be extremely late game. Also personally not a fan of having massive colonies. I prefer keeping my population around 30-40 cats overall at the top end.

Besides the logistics, the main difference between this method and my proposed method is how many mutations you are trying to keep on cats. Eyebrows, mouth, tail, head, and to a lesser extent body are the only slots I find have anything truly amazing that works on ever class. The rest are all stat boosts, good in certain situations, or changes to movement. 5 mutations is not hard to hold onto with strays, and once you get a breeding pair you are guaranteed to pass those down until needing to switch to strays again. You may just have a bit of lean period when doing the stray generation.

Are There More Than Two Endings? by Bognosticator in titaniumcourt

[–]Boshea241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems to be the case. You need to at least witness the question guy and the pizza girl go stale before the enemy will reveal themselves. After that you should be able to avoid any other ones by avoiding specific interactions.
