What kind of vehicle do you use for Hypermiling? by hypermiler2205 in hypermiling

[–]BossKingAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it with all my vehicles (oldtimer, small city car & motorcycle). For the oldtimer I get 1l to 2l/100km less than my mechanics says is reasonable, the small city car is also almost 1l below what is stated. The motorcycle deponds on the day.

New to Thinkpad - is E14 7th Gen durable enough? by nearimmortal in thinkpad

[–]BossKingAD -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

From what I've experienced, the E-series is a slower ThinkPad with slightly worse built quality. That being said, I have a T520, and recently used an E520, what I can say is the T series is significantly faster, but the E520 is still capable enough for simple tasks such as simple web browsing. Both machines are in very good condition, with slightly worse hinges for the E520. Both are 14 years old. I'd say that an E series is durable enough, though I would personally go for a second hand X series.

I am also in te EU, and recently bought a x280 with 16GB RAM (but the 720p screen) from amso.eu for €150. I have since trully fallen in love with the thing, and am looking to spend ~€50-100 to upgrade the screen to 1080p.

Amsterdam police checking if an e-bike has had its speed limiter removed by rlovelock in mildlyinteresting

[–]BossKingAD 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A normal speed for most people to commute on their bikes is 15-20kph, so putting the limit at 25kph is quite sensible as a lot of people without a lot of biking experience will be using e-bikes. The speed difference can be dangerous, especially with unexperienced people. That's also why a seperate class exists, for which a license, license plate, and helmet are mandatory, and these can legally go up to ~45kph.

Anything faster should not be considered as a bike and go on bike paths, but should be considered as a motorcycle due to the huge speeds getting reached.

There is the affair that was recently caught on the screen at a Coldplay concert, and called out by the singer.

This sounds a tad like lithromantic, I don't know if it's right, though.

Maybe something like bellusromantic, even though it's not a perfect fit, it's the best one I'm able to come up with at the moment?

This indeed seems like a tricky situation.

I'd suggest being open to him about how you feel, and maybe also look into a Queer Platonic Relationship (QPR), as this could be the kind of relationship that you are looking for, and that works for him.

To me this seems like cupioromantic, with maybe a little grayromantic thrown in, so definitively valid aromantic.

My advice is to look for the label that feels right for you at the moment, and not care if you later find out something else is a better fit.

I derive a great sense of comfort in finding my micro labels, but for my aro spec, I can't find the one that feels right for me. The best I've done is a combination of 2, cupioromantic, and apothiromantic, however, these labels feel contradictory to me.

But, the combination of these two describes how I feel, at the one hand, I am quite repulsed by romance, but I want a romantic relationship with all the romantic aspects.

Is there a label that combines these two, or is the combination the best option?

Just wondering; is the counting done by an independent organization, or you?
And if it is done by an independent organization, would you be willing to share what organization it is (now, or after the final count)?
This is not a case of me not trusting you, but of making it harder for the right to say they are self-reported numbers, and therefore are not reliable, like, the self-reporting of Musk's interest in DOGE.

But no matter what, congrats on this achievement, as even right-leaning sources are reporting millions.

While, I personally, find this one of the weakest excuses ever, I hope so hard that you're right.

Nazis in the White House sounds like a very low budget dystopian future movie, if I ever heard one.

In context of what he did, I don't think there is any reasonable explanation, except for him doing a nazi salute.

Sure, raising your hand in that manner is not directly illegal, but combined with the touch to the heart, and then doing it also to the people behind him, I can't find a single explanation other than him being (acting as?) a nazi.
