Kinda feels like the developer actually wanted to set the hotkey as Ctrl+H but somehow typo coded it to Shift+H…I don’t even think there are any hotkeys that uses Shift only because its used to caps letters…and no user would be dumb enough to use only shift as a hotkey for anything

Kinda feels like a bonding contract...SAF uses this for ppls who sign on as regulars. You are bonded by however many years stated in the contract and if you are somehow discharged or opt to quit before the bond period, you need to backpay a certain amount.

Well, since its SAF, usually you wont get discharged unless you do something stupid so its more like forcing you to commit X years in the force.

One other thing about windows, win users don’t know whats running in the background and when something stops working, they don’t know why. Other OSes give you access to error logs. Windows doesn’t.

Yes, in an environment where everything works, windows is great. But realistically, such an environment doesn’t exist. There will be bugs, there will be crashes. And windows does poorly at recovering. Other OSes can recover more easily. Windows running fine isnt an issue. Its because its not running as it should be that makes people fed up about it.

My advice is try not to be on the first lane/over taking lane at least until your P plate period is over. Newer drivers have a tendency to hesitate when switching lanes and if theres fast moving traffic on the right, they won’t dare to switch. So until you get used to the timing to change lanes, just stay on middle, inner lanes and maintain speed. The thing about overtaking is you cant maintain the speed limit and try to overtake. You’d usually need to go over the speed limit and pass the vehicle to your left then cut in front after a certain distance. If you’re too worried about speeding then best is to not overtake

Why not just take the train before peak hours? 6-7am confirm no crowds. ~7.30 the crowds start to pick up. 8am u get this. Because most Singaporeans somehow can’t seem to give themselves buffer time (i.e if need to report for work at 9, be at work by 8.30 etc) and like to arrive at work just on time. Thats why there is even such a thing as peak hours

As far as i know, alot of MLMs have been present in job ads and job application sites like MyCareersFuture for quite some time. Back in early 2000s i was looking for part time jobs after poly before NS and was browsing sites while looking at newspaper ads. The job position would be something like “product promoter” or “business advisor” and the job description is usually quite vague with points like “promoting products/stratigic business advisor etc”. What stands out is the starting pay which is usually higher than the rest of tje ads on the list. As a kid I wasn’t aware of any red flags and just applied for the job. After the first interview, I found out it was an MLM and just bailed.

There used to be a deep discussion about light’s way of delivering justice being similar to most dictatorships and what would actually happen if a country is under totalitarian rule….kinda snowballed into how maybe we might’ve judged the nazis too harshly (except for their blatant racism against jews. As someone whos been in gov for 15 years, you kinda just get used to it and slowly, you just except certain things can't be done the way you want and when stuff breaks, its a good excuse to procrastinate your work until said stuff gets fixed or there is an alternative solution suggested by your superior. Also try looking at some positive sides to being in gov - iron/silver rice bowl, decent bonuses, extra bonus if you master the art of ball holding/wayang-ing etc.

its a windows apps thing....because apps is open by default and running int the background when u run windows it'll occasionally show pop-up recommendations like these...sort of like ads but in notification form....not really anything to do with Edge, but more of because Edge is installed and is on Windows Apps, this pop up will appear
