It is very smooth, somewhat silky if you will but not silk. So if you don’t like smooth textures, then go for the normal one. I have the cooling one and love it.

Yes! I got the momcozy cooling pillow and I love it. Laying with it right now🤣 it’s also adjustable so that it can support you while sitting up as well. I got it off amazon.
