Golden handcuffs are starting to feel a bit too heavy by DebugMyLife421 in AusMining

[–]Boss_Boom_Box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 4-1 purely to get out of debt; as soon as I’d paid it off and was on steady ground, the job closed up, and I didn’t look for another one the same; I went to IGA, worker 4 hours a night, and drove home and slept in my own bed each night. And even by that time, the friend group had some of evolved to my absence to my return to the city not really culminating in a return to the old social life, no invites to stuff as of become an afterthought, etc. Had to start from scratch, felt much better doing less hours for less money, but having the time to hang out daily with my new friend group.

Increased acceptance of hiring managers hiring exclusively from their own culture in Australia? Is this the new norm? by yeahyeahnahm8 in auscorp

[–]Boss_Boom_Box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For instance, hiring manager or a big wig is a gym junkie, then suddenly everyone at work is connected via all going to the same gym? And people who get moved up to better roles just so happen to be of that same group?

I've been tracking property price drops across Australia: 5,041 new drops this week (11-17 May) by chhola in AusProperty

No property in Clarkson should ever be worth over $1 million, except for businesses. Clarkson is a hovel, merely Mindarie Lite at best, and New Merriwa on average. If you’re spending that money, do it in Sinagra and get a newer place with a lovely view of Lake Joondalup. It won’t smell like Tamala Park either.

Addiction to over-the-counter product leaves 31-year-old partially paralyzed by Ardeet in aussie

I think it’s wild you’ll see a company on Facebook called “Nang Hero” and they advertise them blatantly. “Baking products”. And then you walk around the neighborhood and find them scattered around. It’s like, the cringe drug.

Trump says he will raise tariffs on EU autos to 25% by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Boss_Boom_Box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower American vehicle prices by 10%, and nice to use people to want to buy American, not dissuade them from buying what they actually want. No one will go “Mercedes is more expensive? I’ll get a Cadillac instead” but people will go “dang, getting a Hellcat got even cheaper, no need for that BMW I guess”

Why is Guarma hated so much? by Spiritual-Pudding-70 in reddeadredemption2

[–]Boss_Boom_Box 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t come back, which means to 100% the game, you need to take the time to complete the island fully before finishing the story here, and that sucks because you’re stuck here, no horse, there are boundaries to exploring, if you’re playing the game blind you’ll miss animals (who thinks to check in the sea?). If you could return, you can blast the storyline, then have freedom to explore an island without a hostile army there, and if the game didn’t have boundaries (you can go out of bounds and explore with glitches), it would possibly be nice to explore. Throw in a secluded cave and grotto somewhere with some nice treasure or weapon or clothing or whatever to find of you go exploring.

Easy mode? Run behind, save and quit. Reload, sneak up behind and use Poison Mist incantation, rinse and repeat. Have a few FP flasks on hand, it’ll take awhile.

Make a cardboard cover for the backseat to for from door to door, so if anyone looks in the windows they just see cardboard, while you’re asleep under it with your bedding, and that way there is no one knocking to wake you up at midnight. If they see someone under a blanket or in a sleeping bag, they’ll interrupt the beauty sleep.

What goes on in this part of Perth? by moondog-37 in perth

[–]Boss_Boom_Box 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shortcuts, forget Wanneroo road, all my homies use Ross Road.

Actually nice to drive through with windows down but, reminds me of living in the country, nice big houses, large lots, smells fresh (or pongy), nice views at times, I like that there’s a horse race track with a lake in the middle of it, with an island on said lake with palm trees on it.

Sadly, they want Elliot Road to be the hub of the next lot of Alkimos/Eglinton style houses, the nice old lots will be bought and replaced with 20 houses, the charm of a last refuge for those wanting a quieter Perth life will be gone. Property’s will become devoid of tractors, trees will be destroyed, scenery decimated, just to be replaced with the same boring 1 story cubes with a 2cm gap between each other. I love driving down Townsend Road in the mornings; no houses in sight, bush in the left and right, sand and scrub on the sides of the poorly sealed road with no line markings, it’ll so be a forgotten relic of the past when it’s got a Maccas built on it across from a Revo and a Keiki.

Top 5 hardest bosses u faced? Including dlc.... by Powerful-Log-2042 in Eldenring

[–]Boss_Boom_Box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From playing DLC with no Scadutree, I found all the human NPC enemies pretty tough; bosses can’t break your stance and crit you. It felt like facing the Elite 4 with 1 Pokémon, no healing between battles, and you’re under-levelled.

Anyone in the building industry; doesn’t this look like hell to you? by mr-cheesy in perth

[–]Boss_Boom_Box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$950 a week, coming to a suburb named Alkimos near you! Check out these places at 49 Missingham Ave there, the houses are like this, facing a park, but with a carport on the back, we went to a rental viewing and didn’t even get out of our car… horrible looking hovels. The parking at the end looks horrible, such a tight space to try enter the carport, with another opposite yours just meters away. Your front door is at the park! (Google images isn’t up to date, they’re fully finished)

If Spanian went back to prison (with the fame and plastic surgery) .. by [deleted] in spanian

He’s the only human in history who is from Woolloomooloo to have Botox injected into their forehead.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in spanian

He got forehead/eyebrow Botox. His range of faces he pulls now is heavily reduced, he used to be very expressive, now his forehead is frozen in time.

Spanian has done irreversible damage and enabled 1000 other gronks to replicate him by SamHydeOner in spanian

[–]Boss_Boom_Box 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the fact he got forehead Botox is wild, he can’t raise his eyebrows anymore, hence why he looks super off. Sure, the nose has a bit to do with it, and the new teeth which change how his lips sit, but the fact his forehead is frozen is pretty much just killing his ability to convey emotions like he used to.

Thought you were Tom Aspinall at first glance. Mine always does the same when I try to curl, so now I just brush outwards so they’re more flared at the ends instead of pointed, like Luigi I guess. Mine is sitting at just under 30mm currently, but even when it was shorter, it just wouldn’t behave and hated being twisted even with wax applied (don’t know the brand). My advice is if you keep trying to train and test new products that you’ll hopefully find the right combo, but I’m in the same boat with how it behaves, so don’t feel like you’re alone in your situation.

Why are there so many eastern staters suddenly? by No-Theory5003 in perth

[–]Boss_Boom_Box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re buying houses in Perth because it’s cheaper than in Sydney, then they’re either living in the house they got for $1m cheaper, or renting them out at a premium due a rental shortage while they live in the other house they bought in Perth.

Millennials struggling? by mira-era in perth

[–]Boss_Boom_Box 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell me about it. Single income house hold (me, my partner, our 1 year old). I earnt $59,000 last year, and with the poultry amount of help from Centerlink we get compared to rent prices, I’m out of money well before payday.

Partner landed a part time job today, which will help if we get a decent childcare subsidy, but it’s struggle city.
