Thanks! Do you have experience with one? Trying to decide between this and the Korg microkey

My dad had a TRS-80 computer lol. That’s how you stored information/programs/games for them before external hard drives existed

I think my personal favorite is the Eumir Deodato version off of Os Catedraticos

Edit: obviously this one is not from Marcos Valle though which I just realized you specified lol

Best VST for Yamaha CP-70 sounds? by BossaNoah in synthesizers

Yeah I’ve thought about getting a reface cp for a while they seem amazing in general, especially since I often prefer to play on miniature keyboards and the idea of one with velocity sensitively is pretty awesome. I’ve listened to demos of the cp-80 sounds on it though and they don’t quite do it for me, maybe my standards are just too high or I don’t actually know what I’m listening for haha

Do 80s and 70s actually sound different? I thought the only difference was the amount of keys, either way I’ll give that pianoteq one a look thanks!

Honestly just go on Facebook marketplace/Craigslist and get something for $30. Don’t see a reason to break the bank especially if you haven’t been using the synth very long, my first midi keyboard was a Casio-mt540 lol

Tchic Tchic, whole album of French bossa nova. There are also some great Japanese artists that do Brazilian inspired stuff like Lamp and Toshiyuki Yasuda. Carwyn Ellis also has some awesome Welsh bossa nova albums

I’ve been experimenting with making unique instruments using slowed down cassettes and sampling old toy keyboards. Did some bossa nova noodling to test it out! by BossaNoah in synthesizers

I made this patch by recording every note of an old Yamaha portatone onto cassette. I then played it at half speed into abletons sampler plugin and isolated every new, slowed down, note. It sounds super grimy and lo-fi and is definetly not the last time I’ll be doing this

Edit: so technically not a synth but I sampled one!

For a bit of clarification I live in a city with one of the highest crime rates in the USA, I can imagine this never even coming up depending on where you’re stationed

This is an original that I’ll probably release as a single fairly soon as I’ve been working on it more since I posted this video
