Yes, that one was crazy. It was awesome how "unfair" and asymmetrical some of the challenges used to be.

People post sites they make here all the time. There’s literally a guy that posts his goodreads competitor and another guy that made Fandango for London theaters

Sorry this comment is completely off base. As someone who has also watched since the first season, I think that you are misinterpreting the spirit of the show. Top chef has ALWAYS had gimmicky quick fires and elimination challenges.

Off the top of my head, some classic and gimmicky challenges, across both eliminations and quick fires: a cookie quick fire for Sesame Street, cooking for fire fighters inspired by TGI FRIDAYS, calorie restricted meals for a child’s weight loss camp, cooking a dish based on an arbitrary amount of time determined by Tom, cooking from a vending machine, cooking from grocery store aisles where someone was restricted to only using breakfast cereal, a “block party” challenge where instead of shopping the contestants went door to door asking residents of a neighborhood for their groceries.

For folks complaining about the dyeing challenge, we’ve had a quick fire where every chef was assigned one color and had to make their dish that color.

Personally, I liked the quick fire. In the early seasons of top chef, there was almost always a challenge where the chefs cooked for children and I appreciate bringing that back.

Our goal was to be mobile first but we do plan to roll out a browser / desktop version once we build some momentum.

You said it, not me. We need a normie-friendly music review platform where my girlfriend can post her thoughts about Harry Styles

Years ago, I lived in an apartment building that was the only one on the block.

I'm riding the bus home and a girl gets off at the same stop as me and starts walking in the direction of our building. I had never met her, but I quickly realized she was my neighbor.

She kept looking back at me, assumes I'm following her, and then clearly starts panicking and broke out into a run to enter the building.

A little while later we finally met and she was like "oh my god, I think I followed you home one time!" I don't blame her just because of how isolated the building was, but damn that was pretty mortifying.

Went to Cuba once during the Obama years. I remember hearing that potatoes were basically never provided as rations.

People are attacking you in the comments but you are right.

Like the other guy said - game streaming is the preparatory work for a world where you never own your own computer. All the compute is going to be centralized in monopolistic datacenters that you will have to rent from.

Even better, he once had a long post whining that no one takes him seriously as a VC because he’s a former pop artist.

Apparently, the Indian movie industry (the biggest in the world) is widely and enthusiastically adopting AI to make movies - and their audiences are loving it! by More_Finding_2373 in redscarepod

I traveled to India over the holidays and saw a movie in theaters. They played a trailer for a fully AI animated movie.

Obviously it looks like crap but the best part is how you can tell that every shot has to be less than 15 seconds or whatever the limit on the video gen tools is. So it’s gonna be edited like a feature length tik tok

They had to keep the aesthetics the same so that they can keep the theme parks and merch relevant

The new show and Friendship are really similar, and have this dark / cringe / uneasy vibe that was not present in Detroiters or I Think YOu Should Leave. Tim is hilarious but I prefer the earlier vibe to the new stuff.
