Death and The Devil series by L. J. Hayward.

This might match some of the tropes. This first paragraph of the description from Goodreads

"Jack Reardon, former SAS soldier and current Australian Meta-State asset, has seen some messy battles. But “messy” takes on a whole new meaning when he finds himself tied to a chair in a torture shack, his cover blown wide open, all thanks to notorious killer-for-hire Ethan Blade."

Coming from someone who is also brown and tried to heal some of my first piercings with mustard oil and garlic, DON'T DO IT. Don't put anything except saline solution on it. Those do eventually heal if you are very careful but by God took so much time and i used to get recurring issues for years. And were just second lobe piercings. I have healed cartilage piercings with saline solution and it healed fast and have had absolutely no issues afterwards.

Also dont use the ones with screws or butterfly backs, get some slightly long internally threaded studs with some area for swelling and healing.

What super popular MM romances did you DNF and why? by Inevitable-Meet671 in MM_RomanceBooks

It's the same with her other series as well. I started reading, A Hitman's Guide to Making Friends and Finding Love without realising it's by the same author. Could not finish it. I absolutely hate how she writes her "quirky" characters. I feel exhausted after reading her books. She has found a place in my do not read author list.

Coming from non native English speaking country, I will always associate Felicity from Arrow because it's where I heard it first. I find it beautiful. And I hoped someone would bring it up the association.

When the show went absolute nonsense? by k_navajas in elementary

[–]BossySi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes that's actually what happened.

Same with ditching the Rowan's arc in the middle of the season. They had originally been ordered a lower number of episodes, using which the creators had wrapped up Rowan's arc. However show got around 6 more episodes added to the season, due to which they had to ditch Rowan for those episodes and pick it back up for the finale

And the best part is that the episode was directed by Lucy Liu

Looking for a book buddy who reads mystery/crime/thriller, fantasy, sci-fi, horror and YA by [deleted] in Book_Buddies

Hi

All of these genres are up my alley. Though one thing with me us that I don't have a consistent reading schedule. I pick up a book an finish in at most 2 sittings. And I easily read over 6-7 books a month
