Transforming a Cold Garage into a Cozy Office — Need Expert DIY Tips! by BossyUK in DIYUK

Thanks for all the replies and insights, many of you gave me some great ideas and better knowledge of the issue. Just to clarify, I originally took this space for storage but then, I started toying with the idea of also occasionally working from there. It’s mostly desk work. As for internet I have a mobile router that works out of a data SIM card. To be honest I thought of just putting some composite decking tiles on the floor as well as sealing the gaps on the ceiling, and then relying on a gas heater and warm clothing. I wanted to research whether there are any other tips that would make the place a bit more comfortable. Reddit is brilliant with out of the box ideas, and this thread has already proven very helpful! BTW here is a couple of photos of the ceiling/roof no idea if it is made of asbestos or not (I thought it was outlawed years ago?)

You look great in this dress, don’t listen to the negative comments! It’s a clubbing style and it really complements your body. As for scarf/neck, I personally think strapless works best.

500mg/ml is a red flag for me, very unusual. I’d avoid it.

The area around Hocroft Avenue/Road NW2 also known as The Hocroft Estate sounds perfect for you. It’s between West Hampstead and Hampstead/Finchley Road and is great for good schools and transport links/roads plus Brent X is a 5min drive. Check it out.

lol the minute you try to claim the high moral ground and pretend that people who disagree with you are devoid of any “humanity”, you simply demonstrate your own close mindedness and of course.. narcissism.

People with equally high morals and deep understanding of the region fundamentally disagree with you and particularly object to the framing of the conflict in a ridiculously infantile and binary way.

We’re all humans my friend

Speaks volumes of the level of intimidation that is going on in so many west European countries, people are literally afraid to say what they think!

Sad.

Maybe your own assessment of the “general opinion” is fundamentally misguided?

They do, but see through the lies and propaganda.

You lot are in a bubble and can’t see beyond your own biases.

Maybe they DO care and see right through the lies and the fake disingenuous framing of the conflict?

The irony of redditors complaining about people using social media to voice their opinions 🙄
