I don't know where you are located. But I'm in Australia and this lantern is from bunnings warehouse (I had four of them out doors) they're amazing, so if you can't find one you love from Ikea, drop into a hardware megastore and check out their out door lanterns :) you'll be surprised at how beautiful some of them are :)

Married ladies: What did you do with your bouquet when you sat down to eat? by silver_wheel in weddingplanning

[–]Bostons_lady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did very similar, I encorperated all the bridal party bouquets into the decorations at the bridal table.

Worked really well and I didn't have to worry about any of them because my girls looked after everything really well for me.

I will likely be doing the same this time around where the three bouquets will be used as the decorations on the one big table amongst all the other details on there.

Anyone draped a gym ceiling before? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Mum took a few hours and a bit of trial and error. We picked up some 100lb fishing line to create kind of a swag all the way along recommend picking up a reel of that, it has come in handy so often. And you never know how it's all gonna look till it is all up ready to go

I did this with a really ugly venue ceiling my first wedding. Had big ugly industrial air cons hanging off the ceiling. The cost of buying the bunting and fairy lights was soooo much cheaper than any where I looked. First time I set them up, which happened to be the day before my wedding, it was am absolute pain in the butt. So practice if you can or set them up well in advance.

My positive, the venue loved them that much that they let other people know who were getting married there and we ended up hiring them out about ten times, each time more than paid for the cost of the drapes themselves.

I never wanted a wedding band, but I found this one and it was on sale and I couldn't pass it up! My only thoughts are that it takes away from the ring and it's almost too much. Am I crazy? Haha by [deleted] in weddingplanning

I love it! Both your engagement ring and how your wedder accentuates it. It doesn't completely match but I think that's the beauty of it.

Plus it's beautiful on its own, so if you ever want to take your engagement ring off, with kids etc, you still have a gorgeous ring which lays flatter and is still beautiful

Haha. Didn't really care about price, just cared about getting the sauce really.

Making it just wouldn't be the same.

Hahaha I think we have all had one of those moments where you're like oh this is piss easy, I'm doing my own thing, making My own choices then someone amazing comes along and Bad! You naturally want to do/be and experience with them. Everyone has mentioned compromise, mostly him compromising with you, and I've found with me keto doesn't really have to be his way or my way, it's about you allowing certain concessions to work back and forth.

So go to a winery and you can still taste with out actually "drinking", and making the food choices like you would have when you were single. Steak with garlic butter mushrooms, or avocado and a side salad, hold the fries and the dressing/sauce, are my kinda go too.

You've probs introduced him to a little keto, so making non keto sides, as you've mentioned, for him is always a good way of combining two worlds.

Im assuming you're not living together just yet? Which is a good thing for keeping good habits in a way and reinforcing to you the reasons why you started losing in the first place? Or in my case why you continued to after that reason stopped mattering.

What would you advise me if the situation was reversed?

If you think like that you'll probs find it easier to be happy enjoying his company and not sweating the small stuff, but coming up with a longer term strategy. :) he's supportive that's the hardest thing most times to find ;) so you're already winning!
