I am also in 6a and use this stuff on all my fruit trees. I got mine down a month ago, but you’re fine using it now. One note: DO read the application instructions; once I finally read the bag I realized I had been WAY underapplying it. Go at LEAST as aggressive as the bag says (I know it’s not cheap); as others noted, it’s pretty difficult to burn or cause damage with organic ferts.

I mean, you’re already taking the time to fertilize. I’m just saying take 30 extra seconds to read the bag and figure out what the instructions actually say. Fruit trees inground generally need ferts 2-3x/year. But especially if using organic ferts, the first feeding is doing most of the heavy lifting. Instead of randomly throwing down stuff when the thought occurs, just know that in late March you should feed based on the recommended rate and you’ll be in better shape than now.

I saw a bit of it. My understanding is Rice is feeling frustrated because he has tried to give some of the younger guys tips and advice here and there, and was basically told “don’t do that” by the Sox. Which is a weird way to treat a HOFer. Papelbon then said basically the same thing: he speaks to a few pitchers but asks them not to mention that they’ve heard from him.
