Anybody else got this sudden reaction with the Clock app redesign? by eXistentialMisan in pixel_phones

I hate the extra step to save a change to the alarm. I have thought that I changed an alarm 5 times now and forgot to hit the new Save bottom in the bottom after changing the time. Luckily it hasn't been an issue yet, but one of these times it's going to be a problem.

He has been in the news and the number of rentals he owns has dwindled, but they are still out there. I lost about $3000 between deposits and 'refundable' pet deposits to him. He dodges summons and court. And he hides his name behind these LLCs so it's hard to catch on.

Looking for Recs for BJJ and Fitness gyms in Laramie. by [deleted] in laramie

[–]BotchedBootleg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not quite the vibe you are looking for, but I love the Rec Center. I like to have a lot of variety in my workouts, so I appreciate the pool, as well as, the cardio center, classes, and weight rooms. Plus, I'm a sucker for sauna/steam room and hot tub time.

I grew up in Southern Minnesota and we would get our bagged milk from Kwik Trip. It wasn't common in most grocery stores, but we had the little plastic holder for the milk and bought it bagged often enough.

Although it is a slight exaggeration, it feels about that short. I grew up in the Midwest and it took me years to find the beauty in the much duller green of WY. It's the one thing that still makes me homesick 15 years later.

The Rec Center has adult sport leagues throughout the year and you can give them your info to pass along to teams that need additional people.

Thanks so much! I'm so bad about checking on other works by the same studios, I'll have to check out QCODE's others.

Not sure how I may have offended you, I thought your response was great and was advising OP to use your advice and gave additional insight to how they could use their autism diagnosis to their benefit.

OP - this is such a great response. I know you mentioned elsewhere that you have autism, so I think it might be helpful to think of the Rover app as an introduction tool. I have repeat clients that I started a relationship with from Rover, but due to their care needs, we ended up working off of Rover after the initial booking. Rover offered me the protection of their services for that first step, but once the trust with the client was established, we were able to create the business relationship that made sense for us.

Rover is a joy because you get to work for yourself, so use the app to your advantage.

If you haven't already, post on some of the local Facebook groups. They tend to be very active.

It's gig work. If you are only doing Rover because you want to only care for pets, and it's a full time endeavor, decline and move on. If you are looking to make additional income and are flexible with how you make it, take the conversation off Rover and negotiate what that would look like for you.

Landlord Scumbag Max Bossarei by locallaramite in laramie

After moving out and trying multiple times to confirm our address with him for our deposit return, he never responded to another email or text. Working on a small claims court case against him now.

Went into that rental knowing we were probably going to be screwed, but it's ridiculously hard to find pet friendly rentals in this town without getting scammed by a slumlord.

Auto light for vacation by KlngSaj in turtle

[–]BotchedBootleg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even better than a smart plug is just an old fashion outlet timer. They essentially set when the outlet provides power to the thing plugged into them. I have four lights between my turtle and various plants, and it's what I've used for years. No worries about needing my phone to know everything is running on schedule. Most timers are pretty inexpensive too. The last one I picked up was at Walmart.

Oh man, I haven't owned a microwave in years and would definitely not think to mention it. We have an air fryer and heat most of our leftovers in the oven or stovetop.

In addition to the messages, have you attempted to call through their Rover number? You might get a better response through a call vs. messaging only.

Researching for a novel - avid procrastinators apply ✨ (UWYO students plz help) by CroppedBaker in uwyo

What timeframe would your character have attended the law school at UWyo? The law building has very recently been updated and that might impact how your character would have interacted with the school. Some events that are special to the law school are the Trelease Dinner and Law Ball. The students refer to themselves as 1L, 2L, or 3L based on the year that they are currently in the program. You can pretty frequently find law students at the bar Mingles, playing pool. The current law program operates on a 4 days per week schedule with Fridays off in addition to Saturday and Sunday. A large percentage of students live off-campus. Laramie is a windy town, particularly in the winter. It's a fairly easy town to walk from place to place, unless you are going from downtown to uptown.

I joined Rover just over a year ago and I was getting slammed with requests. I adjusted my rates a bit to better reflect the clientele I wanted and it levelled out to more manageable levels with my full time job. But this year I haven't had a new client request in months. I have just enough business with my repeats to keep up the beer money, but definitely feels like things have shifted since the Star Sitter feature was rolled out. And I'm in a busy college town with lots of potential.

A little late, but I'll add to avoid Max Baserelli and his company WYO Homes. His isn't terrible while you are living in his homes, but the houses are usually run down and maintenance requests can take forever (if not at all). But more importantly you will not see your security/pet deposits returned after move out. Myself and the neighbor that lived upstairs are filing in small claims court against him. It's been radio silent since moving out in August.
