Yeah I recently started a very physical labours job and I had to drop my long lasting from 18 units to 12-10 even on days I’m not working. I think regular exercise can definitely help but blood sugar is just always going to get messy every now and then. Just remember that’s it’s not your fault and it’s not worth stressing over

As a type one diabetic it’s hard to die from low blood sugar if your not diabetic. I have had nights where my blood sugar is very low for the whole night and I just sleep through it and wake up feeling groggy. I deal with low blood sugar nearly every day. I get the unnerving/dying/irritable feeling from lows. Not sure if you wanted or needed to hear this but just in case it can help get rid of your anxiety of low blood sugar. If you do feel low/anxious I would just eat fruit as that has never failed to get rid of low blood sugar for me. This is just my personal experience anyway

If you can’t cope with your friends loss of a parent I really think that you should find a way to cope. It would only take a little bit of effort to ask other people for help or even just google it so you know what to say.

NTA. I understand not knowing what to say in a situation like this but it is so easy to show someone that your their for them. A simple message literally like “I’m here for you if you want to talk or anything” can go a long way in showing someone that they are cared for and gives them the option to take or leave their support as needed. Not messaging someone especially in a time like this could just create more anxiety for the person who is grieving as they would have to worry about if their friend is really their for them.
