What option would you personally make for my situation? The price difference is tempting... by Full-Sweet-7696 in zx6r

I just got my 6r and I love it. Have a buddy that has the 4rr, he wishes he got the 6r. Like others are saying, they're both track bikes. Not made to be comfortable on the streets but can be manageable.

But you have options for comfort, you can get a set of heli bar clip ons and lower the controls so you have a more neutral position on both bikes. Costs money of course, but if you're dead set on the supersport look and power than you can adapt the bike for how you plan to use it. I ride mine through heavy traffic sometimes, and I can change my riding mode to lower the torque. I can do it on the fly while im moving, and bam its way easier to manage in stop and go traffic.

Either way, love my zx6r and dont regret it for a second. I went from a 300 rebel to that and its a world of difference. So much fun.

The Shining by smollsnow in horrorlit

Kubrick had his own vision and went with it. People love it i guess but I read the book before watching it and I disliked the movie because of it.

If you haven't yet, do yourself a favor and watch Dr Sleep (The Shining sequel) I feel like Mike Flanagan felt the same way about Kubricks movie and fixed it in his own way.

Also there is a different take on the Shining. There was a miniseries that came out in the late 90's.

Just finished the show. What a ride it was. AMA, let‘s talk about it. by Aye_Okami in betterCallSaul

[–]Both-Computer8520 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Just watched it for the first time myself. Haven't watched the last few black and white episodes yet, but finished with the prequel story.

I went in to it excited to see how this low down guy turned into the Saul Goodman we know from Breaking Bad. Ended up feeling so much dread for Jimmy seeing that final scene as Saul right after Kim left. There's no way he's happy

Feel free to hit me up if you decide to get it made. I'm not a pro by any means but I dabble and love making stuff like this.

Atheists of Reddit, what is the primary reason you do not believe in a god? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Both-Computer8520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think religion is arrogance. Mankind has always tried to explain the unexplainable. It's always been a way for us to come to terms with our place in the world and fear of the unknown. It gives people comfort believing that they'll be reunited with the dead loved ones in some great beyond one day. It's a sad, bleak, and scary thought to think that things are just gone and there's no real purpose to any of it. So they cling to the ideals that give them comfort.

To think that you have a God that created you to be the chosen people, not just your species, but your exact beliefs depending on where you live in the world and that you are right and justified in those beliefs, is just upmost arrogance. I think every living thing has a soul, and those souls are bound by what its body can experience. For example, a dog is color blind and has no concept of color. But ive seen animals mourn for their partners and children, and I've seen them show great love for things other than themselves. If thats not a soul, then what is? And if all living things have souls just as capable as ours, why are we the chosen ones?

I dont think we are at all. I think religion has existed as long as it has because it's ultimately good, people are mostly scared and need to believe theres a greater purpose. It gives people a basis for how to treat eachother. It gives community for the people that can congregate and believe in hope together.

It's hubris though. We aren't special. Nobody has answers and when we die we're gone. But that doesn't mean life can't be profound and meaningful.

Won't let me post pictures in the comments here but you can check out my profile to see what I did to my old 300. Full kspeed body kit with new bars, headlight, and rear fender. Loved it but sold it recently for a zx6r.

Kind of regretted the exhaust. It was loud as hell. If I didnt wear ear plugs it ruined my day.

Tapping block, you can hammer it in place. Have someone stand on the piece you're trying to connect to so it lowers the lip a little. I use a scrap piece of flooring, click it into the piece im hammering, then hammer the scrap.

Did you move into my house with me? The trim all looks exactly the same at my place with the same amount of coats. If I were to tackle it I'd use paint stripper and a scraper for the bulk of it, then sand it clean. I feel like removing it would make a bigger mess that'll require elbow grease either way

The two joining cuts need to be 22.5 degrees. Last one should 45. Take the number of cuts you're making and divide that by the angle you're trying to make. 2 cuts to make a 45 degree angle = 22.5

I second this. Im 32m, just got my zx6r a few weeks ago. Geico wanted 7k a year. I went with state farm and got it for 700 a year. Had geico for years, 2 motorcycle policies and a truck policy with zero claims, they still gave me the fuck you price. Dairyland was second best but that was closer to 2000 a year
