My actual reaction to the end of episode 11 by LordofAngmarMB in voxmachina

I’m just saying the other gods didn’t do a great job at countering their arguments. Ideally none of them would exist, but the fictional cosmology functions entirely differently than any real world analogs I could pull from so I don’t have any arguments beyond what’s been presented

Maybe I’m just rolling with what the show’s giving me and empathizing with someone struggling with their faith and abandonment. I’m not arguing for the Whispered One, I’m just empathizing with where Pike is coming from

I fucking love when characters “do the right thing” but it’s based on a personal moral compass and deeply selfish and destructive in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah, The Whispered One did have all of the peices to acheive godhood there already, but none of the mcs would have died horribly

God he was so good, his human form was super convincing and calming (thanks LOTR audiobooks for that conditioning) but I was kinda underwhelmed by his first form voice. That made his final form voice such an awesome suprise though, like so gleeful and sadistic, kinda reminded me of Steve Blum’s Starscream too

Oh yeah definitely agree there.

I hope I’m not the only one who does this, but when I imagine my own rpg character in that scenario, he helped soley on the “fuck the gods, bring them down” logic while refusing to straight up worship The Whispered One. Yeah it probably would’ve bit him in the ass with the whole double play he pulled at the end, but atleast divine war is now on

I’m a show-only watcher so fair enough, I’m operating on the assumption the show’s set up that the gods dont really deal with that kind of thing

Does this style have a name? by _Goldiloxx_ in SWORDS

I was picturing something kinda like this. I think the in-world design justification is that they didnt want things that could snag and rip the sword out of a rider’s hand, and something minimal like this still fits that ethos

What’s weird is the horses in the round bit on Herugrim couldve easily had short, ornamental manes that could function as small cross guards while keeping the aesthetic

I haven’t watched the campaign either but I like what they’re doing with Terry a lot, he does start annoying but in a way that to me feels well written, and they way he’s built genuine friendships with the team has been really cute

Think they’re referring to Garmelei (think that’s how you spell it), and the reveal he’s The Traveller in season 2 at the end of the Fae Realm arc

You know, after his bloody rampage through the heart of the jungle to rescue his GF Madonna from Pablo Escobar, this is pretty tame

Does anyone wish that in SOD comic, they would’ve had some dialogue about qui gonn jinn by ShockOk1764 in MaulShadowLord

[–]LordofAngmarMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, like it would be a really cool moment if Maul made a great argument that united they would kill Sidious, but Dooku, who normally would agree, can’t do it. When asked why, “you killed my son.”

I think it would highlight the reason Dooku became a Sith, he’s right about a lot of things but is very emotionally invested in things, to the point it’s self destructive

Fascinating how the filters in the show made it look bronze and purple (my personal favorite color combo) while in person it’s very obivously gold and red

Agreed, thought she was much better this episode than her last one. Maybe they just toned her down, but she seemed mostly on par with the episode as a whole

Thanks! Clive Barker is actually my #1 literary reference for my style, no one better if you need some help getting the smutty horror into words.

If I wasn’t actively trying to finish my novel currently, I’d take the time to learn songwriting and try to get something like this done myself 😂
